Happy Geaux Create Day, Baton Rouge!

We’re knee deep in award show prep and I almost didn’t get a chance to say it but today means everything.

Last year, 10/20 right after GCA24, Geaux Create officially became a recognized holiday in the City of Baton Rouge.

This day was created to honor and celebrate the creatives who keep this city alive with art, sound, stories, and soul. Because if you live in Baton Rouge, you know creating here isn’t always easy. It takes heart, faith, and a kind of resilience most people wouldn’t understand.

So today, we pause to say thank you to every creative who kept going when it didn’t make sense to. You are Baton Rouge’s heartbeat.
