Covington, LA (Whiskey Tavern)

We’re super pumped to be returning to WHISKEY TAVERN in Covington, LA. We’re always fielding questions from our north shore peeps as to when we’re returning from across the pond. The answer is Saturday! BOD will hit the downbeat about 10pm. Come get your weekend started right with all your favorite tunes and favorite friends. Metrics are looking great for this one! Peace and love to all!!

Friday night we’ll be at L’Auberge Casino in Baton Rouge for a private event. Sorry Charlie. Next one will be a public date!

Sunday, we’ll be kicking it with friends/family hoping for a better showing from the Saints. First home game on the schedule albeit pre-season. So glad the gridiron is back!

We’re kicking it in August ya’ll. Come see what the fuss is all about.

We just checked out the new, grand-opening of southernclassicchicken Baton Rouge location on Sherwood Forrest. To say this place was busy is an understatement! The through traffic was insane, running the length of about 2 blocks!

This ain't the kinda traffic a narrow street like Sherwood Forrest needs, guys...

So, we took the walk-up route. The staff is really polite and helpful, which is a big positive. However, the prices are a bit ekevated/average for a chicken joint. A 2-piece mixed with a side and drink runs apx. 10 bucks. And, as you guessed it goes up from there.

But Kai, is it good, you ask?? Well, it's decent I have to say. It has the taste of a average day at , just with slightly more seasoned taste. In fact, everything about it, from the taste to their boxes, gets you in a Churches mindset.

Flat out, it's OK, but I won't be rushing back.
