Mining wasn't just difficult—it was dangerous.

Every miner who stepped underground knew they might not come back out.

Today, when people visit old mines, it's easy to focus on the history, the mystery, or even the hauntings.

But beneath every abandoned shaft is a story of the people who built this district with their sweat, determination, and sometimes their lives.

Earlier, during our live TikTok stream from Greenwood Cemetery, we stopped to pay our respects to Joe Arridy.

Joe was convicted and executed in 1939, despite significant concerns about his case. Decades later, he was granted a posthumous pardon, and today many people visit his gravesite to leave toys, train cars, and tokens of remembrance.

There’s something about standing here at dusk, surrounded by the mountains, that puts everything into perspective.

Just taking a moment to remember a life, a story, and a piece of Colorado history that should never be forgotten.

👻 WE TOOK A OUIJA BOARD INTO GREENWOOD CEMETERY…

What started as a simple experiment quickly turned into another interesting sessions we’ve done in a cemetery.

Under the cover of darkness, we set up a Ouija board in historic Greenwood Cemetery and asked a simple question:

Would anyone answer?

Some of the responses caught us completely off guard… but we’ll let you decide what really happened.

Ghost hunting is fun.

But the best part is always the people.

This weekend was filled with conversations, laughs, new friendships, old friendships, and memories we'll be talking about for years.

The paranormal brings us together.

The community keeps us coming back.

The funny thing about helping with an event...

You show up expecting to hear speakers, investigate haunted locations, and hang out with friends.

Instead, you spend most of your time helping vendors unload, moving tables, answering questions, solving problems, and making sure everyone else has a great experience.

And honestly?

I'd do it all again.

Cripple Creek Paracon wasn't exactly the weekend I planned for, but it was exactly the weekend I needed.

Thank you to every vendor, attendee, speaker, and volunteer who made it happen.
