Metalmorphosis marks MasterPlan's first album of brand-new original material since 2013’s Novum Initium. Roland Grapow and company return with 10 tracks combining the melodic power metal sound Masterplan built its reputation on with a heavier and more aggressive edge. I review the new album here in this clip from my latest podcast.

Here is a clip from my latest podcast in regards to how bands and publicists and labels will be promoting music in the future, especially when it comes to the heavy metal scene.

As time goes on you are going to see some big changes when it comes to promoting bands and music. Many of the print outlets or websites are losing advertisers and funding due to the fact that these sites don't get the traffic they used to get 25+ years ago. Banner ads used to generate a lot of revenue and since then that has died down. I have also watched the decline in radio being a primary source for people to discover new music and the rise of streaming (which has a longer history than most people realize).

I give a history lesson from my 28 years of hosting this show, when streaming started, how the media landscape has changed and how collaborations and networking will be a big part of the future in this clip! Enjoy!

I am back, and this clip is from my most recent podcast that will be going up today on all of my socials. To start off my first actual podcast since December 2025 (im not counting interviews of course) I wanted to pay tribute to the late Ross "The Boss" Friedman. This was a hard subject for me to talk about since my dad had passed only 6 days before he did. However, his music and his guitarplaying had such a big impact on me over the last 30+ years and I wanted to talk about this on my first show back. Like many of you, I first heard of Ross when he was in MANOWAR or The Dictators. He also has his own band Ross The Boss Band among other projects and bands over the years.

The last full length album Ross recorded on was the album "Reign of Steel" by Death Dealer which to me, is one of if not the best performance of his musica career.

What is your favorite album he played on?

I want to wish my longtime friend Andi Deris from Helloween a happy birthday! At the same time, I am also wishing my oldest son Nathan a happy birthday as they share a birthday together (August 18th) both of whom are pictured in one of these photos from back in May 2026.

The old photo here is from when we first met back in 1998. Hard to believe I’ve known these guys 28 years.

Over this time, anytime I’ve had a very rough patch in my life. Whether it’s getting his by lightning 8 years ago or my dad passing away back in March, these guys have always been there to bring a los of positivity to a bad situation. You can’t put a price on that and I’ll always be grateful for people like Andi who has probably been one of the few people in my life that has always consistently been there.
