So this video has popped up all over my Facebook feed. It's a video of Sebastian Bach kicking a chick out while he's on stage because before the show she asked him for a hug. His explanation is that she asked him for a hug un front of his wife. He insinuated with his comments that this woman was harassing them.
Now, before I get into how he mishandled this entire situation let me say this. I have witnessed at many metal shows over the last 30 years where I have seen women NOT leave a musician alone either backstage or out in the venue itself and actually harass him/her to the point where they needed to be kicked out because they wouldn't take "no" for an answer. Then when they get called out for their conduct they go play the victim and badmouth said musician. Did this happen and did she do something inappropriate and was she THAT much of a problem and did she act in a way where she deserved to be kicked out? I have no idea what happened between this chick and Bach, it's a he said/she said situation and honestly at this point it doesn't matter because he of course handled it like an A-Hole.
Anytime I have seen or witnessed anyone harass a musician at a show, here is how it was handled: That musician quietly went up to security at the venue and that fan was escorted out quietly and asked not to come back and 99.9% of the people in the venue probably had no clue he/she was ever there. THIS is the MATURE and PROFESSIONAL way to handle this situation. It gets handled quietly, no drama and no negative headlines.
The question I have is this. IF she was such a problem, why wasn't she kicked out before the show? If she was THAT much of an issue, why was she not escorted out before the show started?
The only explanation I can come to is that he waited because wanted to be a d*ck and humiliate her in front of everyone on stage band blow the situation out of proportion. Maybe because it makes him feel like a badass to humiliate a woman at a metal show or it makes him feel more relevant than he actually is. Cowards bully women the way he did. Handling the situation like this is immature, it's classless, it's childish and it's a perfect example of why the guys in Skid Row probably will never entertain a reunion. if a guy can't handle a small incident like this at a club show how the hell is he going to handle the bigger stage with coming back to Skid Row?
Ever wonder why this guy isn't playing bigger stages than he is? Ever wonder why this guy struggles to get a following on spotify? It's not a lack of talent, his solo albums are incredible, and he is a generational talent as a vocalist. It's because of immature nonsense like this, it's because of this kind of stupid behavior that gives him headlines for all of the wrong reasons. Nobody wants to deal with the drama, and nobody wants to deal with a 57 year old who hasn't grown up mentally past the age of 18 and can't handle a simple minor situation like a professional.
I remember this guy after the 2024 election saying America sucked and that he doesn't want to be here anymore. Remember that? Why hasn't he shipped his ass back to Canada? Seems like everyone who "hates it here" doesn't ever leave. I wonder why that is? It's because people from this country gave him a career, he would be a nobody if that didn't happen and the fan he s**t on in public in front of everyone at this show is one of those people.
He deserves every bit of negative press that he's getting for this right now because as great as I think his last album was, his conduct and the way he acted was ridiculous and a perfect example of why he will be playing mostly small clubs the rest of his life.
We should be remembering this guy as one of the most incredible vocalists the genre has ever seen, instead most people will remember him for this kind of nonsense and that to me, is sad.
