Happy Happy Helloween! For those wondering what this is. It's a shaped picture disc with the edited version of the song "Halloween" which was the version of the song played on MTV back in the day. It was also a limited edition promo disc back in 1987. You don't see many of these and I have no idea how many they made.

Here is an interview clip from my latest interview with Piet Sielck of Iron Savior a few months back talking about the upcoming covers album they will be putting out next year. For those that don't know....Iron Savior will be releasing an album of covers called "Awesome Anthems Of The Galaxy" on Perception in March of 2026. I am excited for this for the very fact that Piet and company have always done some really cool covers. A good example of this is the Japanese Bonus track for "KIll Or Get Killed" where they did a cover of Bryan Adams' "Run to You" or covering "Crazy" by Seal.

I have always made the comment to Piet that he has always recorded an interesting take on so many songs like this, especially non-heavy metal songs from the 80s and well....here we are. The first single is the song "Fame" which is part of the soundtrack for a movie with the same title and this was originally recorded by Irene Cara (RIP) who also sang on many songs that appeared on movie soundtracks from the early 80s. I love Iron Savior's version of this and can't wait to hear more. I grea up in the 80s, so I am excited for this. Stay tuned!

KISS was the first band I ever saw in any large arena. It was during the reunion tour and here is the tourbook from that show. The show I went to was on July 20th, 1996 here in Cleveland Ohio. I had just graduated High School and could barely afford the nosebleed seats in what was then called "Gund Arena" aka Quicken Loans Areana in Cleveland. A band called "D Generation" was the opener. I didn't know much about their music back then so many of the songs on the setlist I heard for the first time in a live setting. I immediately went and bought all of the albums by the band the very next day (the albums I didn't own). Im sure Gene was happy with the money he made off of me :)

Now that I have my voice back, I can start filming podcast episodes again and I will be paying tribute to the late Paul "Ace" Frehley on the next episode of the show along with a few album reviews.

Ideastream and Cleveland State University opened up a huge can of worms with the shady deal that they did. This protest and movement for XCSB 89.3fm is gaining momentum and will not be going away

Remember, folks, college radio is still very relevant to helping to promote heavy metal bands. We can’t allow these powergrabs to take away the last few independent voices that we actually have left in media.

I have always loved Jeff Scott Soto's voice and if I were to pick my favorite project or band that David Ellefson has been in outside of Megadeth its this right here. The first album was great, this second one is even better (Review coming soon).
