I’ve been thinking a lot about a few of these points.

On the podcast this week we talked about an Orthodox Christian perspective on the new age shadow work, and next week we’re talking about inner child healing.

I know I know certain therapies CAN BE compatible with Orthodoxy, but I really think deep down the suffering we all can relate to is the universal suffering this side of eternity.

We all just miss Heaven. Miss Him.

Another thing God has been teaching me is to be quieter… I think that’s the Orthodox phronema growing in me… “let the clergy be the clergy” type of thing. I may be sharing more family and lifestyle content as a result of that.

And finally - EVEN JESUS WORKED AS A CARPENTER. So many of us Christian content creators also have families and need to use our gifts and talents to support them.

I’m going to try to grow in that so my husband and I can have 10 more babies, finally have a wedding, own a home, etc. Not sure what that is going to look like yet but I’m open to the possibilities. ☺️🌴✨

As I’ve been creating this occult to orthodoxy series on YouTube, I keep thinking how there’s THOUSANDS of Protestant/nondenominational voices and perspectives on these topics.

But am I the only Orthodox? Am I the only one pointing the broken and the seeking to the fullness of the Christian faith?

When I first became Orthodox I remember being so overwhelmed about what the liturgical life would entail.

Over the last couple years, I’ve gotten the hang of things a bit more.

Like the fact that I needed the Orthodox Study Bible and not just my Women’s Study Bible because I needed the missing books and correct interpretations in the study notes.

Or the fact that the Orthodox cross looks a little different, we use prayer ropes instead of rosaries, and that prayer books teach us the best posture of our prayers.

I also now have incense censors for my prayer time, blessed oil for healing, and holy water always at home.

All these beautiful things that now add to my devotional time with the Lord.
