We produce a weekly issue during the semester, with a circulation of approximately 3,000. We distribute to all academic buildings and dormitories Wednesdays. Our website is interactive and the best way to keep up with Brockport and Rochester college-related news.
Mission: The paper aims to bring accurate, fair information to the student body and community concerning the local happenings and interest topics. Our topics include village news, criminal activity, college climate updates, BSG, music reviews, event coverage, opinion columns and sports coverage.

If you attended the David Cay Johnston lecture last week or were interested in going you should check out the recruitment meeting for Brockport's Society of Professional Journalists on Thursday at 4 p.m. in Holmes 214. B. SPJ was the organization that arranged the Johnston lecture, to give you an idea of what members of B. SPJ do, and there will be free pizza at the meeting to further entice you to attend.

BSG Senator Debate: Speech based

Legislation L-21-18, which puts the special election into play, has been passed. The special election is necessary as there are no BSG Cabinet candidates at this point to take over after the current administration’s term ends in May. The special election will be conducted the same as the one that would have happened in the fall previously in this circumstance except it will be happening before the end of the spring semester to prevent BSG from shutting down and subsequently placing all clubs and organizations in limbo. That possibility is no longer. The petitioning for the special election will begin within the next week. The number of signatures has been cut half, but the time period to gather signatures is the same. Campaigning time has been cut to two weeks to ensure the election process will be completed before the end of the semester and the end of the current administration’s term. The debate for the open senator positions is still taking place tonight at 8 p.m. in the Union Fireside Lounge.

The David Cay Johnston Q & A lecture and book signing are tomorrow night in the Liberal Arts Building's McCue Auditorium. This is a free opportunity (unless you are looking to purchase one of Johnston's works) for all majors so take advantage of it!
The "Under the Rug: Johnston Talks Trump" lecture and book signing are tomorrow from 5 to 6 p.m. in the Liberal Arts Building's McCue Auditorium. Award-winning author and journalist David Cay Johnston will be discussing the background of his two publications, "The Making of Donald Trump" and "It's Even Worse Than You Think: What the Trump Administration Is Doing to America." He will also be giving insight on what it is like to be an investigative data journalist and answering questions posed by the audience.
After the lecture Lift Bridge Book Shop will be on site so you will have an opportunity to purchase either of Johnston's works and then Johnston himself will be signing copies. The Q&A lecture is a free opportunity for students of all majors so mark your calendars and we'll hopefully see you there!

Pulitzer Prize winning journalist David Cay Johnston will be visiting campus for a discussion entitled: Under the rug: Johnston talks Trump. He will be sharing some of the dirt he's uncovered during his extensive journalistic investigation of Trump over the years and signing his books "The Making of Donald Trump" and "It's Even Worse Than You Think: What the Trump Administration Is Doing to America."
Get ready! David Cay Johnston will be at Brockport on Thursday, March 29 from 5-6 p.m. in the McCue Auditorium to do a talk entitled: Under the Rug: Johnston Talks Trump. As he is an award-winning journalist you won't want to miss the dirt he's uncovered on president 45.

Brockport Student Government has confirmed the 2018 Spring Concert artist! Lil Yachty who is featured in hits "iSpy" and "Broccoli" and who had his own Billboard top ten hit called "1 Night" is scheduled to perform on April 19th.
