TIME PASSES, BUT THE PAIN REMAINS: New York City – Sept 11, 2001
Please, may God bless her soul and grant her eternal rest🕯🙏❤️
Jennifer Lynn Howley, aged 34, resided on the 92nd floor of the South Tower.
Born on July 7, 1967, to Donna and Lyle Dorsey, Jennifer had a younger brother named Matthew. She spent her formative years in Lincoln, Nebraska, before relocating to New Hyde Park, New York, as an adult. Jennifer graduated from Lincoln Southeast High School in 1985, where she showcased her musical talents by playing the piano, singing in various choirs and choruses, and performing on stage. After completing her high school education, she moved to New York and took on the role of a nanny for two boys. Following the family's move out of state, Jennifer faced a brief period of unemployment and homelessness; however, she remained steadfast. Having encountered adversity previously, including the loss of her mother to a brain aneurysm at the age of six and being deaf in her right ear since childhood, Jennifer was determined to thrive in New York City. She secured a position at Aon Corporation, an insurance firm, starting in an entry-level role. Through diligence and commitment, she ascended to the position of senior vice president. In 1994, Jennifer met her future husband, Brian Howley, through mutual acquaintances. They encountered each other again six months later on the 7 a.m. subway to Manhattan, which Brian began taking daily just to see her, even though it required him to arrive at work an hour early. Eventually, he mustered the courage to invite her to dinner, and their romance blossomed rapidly. They exchanged vows on March 8, 1997, in Long Island.
Jennifer and Brian shared a passion for travel, enjoying trips to tropical beaches and to Nebraska, where Jennifer had spent her formative years. She delighted in introducing Brian to the places where she had performed and sung during her youth. Jennifer continued to nurture her profound love for singing, music, and performance throughout her adult life. After their marriage and moving in together, Jennifer and Brian were eager to start a family, anticipating their first child in January 2002. At the time of the attacks, Jennifer was five months pregnant. Friends and family described her as sweet, energetic, happy, and friendly, with a radiant smile and a generous heart.
