The Sheridan Cowboy Classic handball tournament was completed this weekend, Feb 22, 2025. This is the 51st year of handball at the Sheridan County YMCA and like other years, we had very high-quality players. Numbers are down but quality is high.

Results: Open division – John Chapman (Greeley Colorado) defeated Spencer Larsen (Billings Mt). Masters division was won by Lloyd Garcia (Ft Collins) over Don Foley (Butte Mt) in a very challenging tie breaker. Doubles Championship was won by Chapman and Garcia over Foley and Marcus Madroza.

Highlights – again players from Montana, Colorado and Wyoming. We in Sheridan appreciate their efforts to come and play. Some players like John Larson, Mike Meyer, Lloyd Garcia have played in the tournament at the minimum of 25 times, we are grateful for their attendance.

On behalf of Shaun Gonda, Brian Hamilton and EJ Panetta and sponsors Bison Beverage and Prime Rate Motors (Ken Balkenbush) the tournament had plenty of games and remarkable quality. Thank You - Jay Stender
