PLANNED POWER OUTAGE TONIGHT– Meriwether Lewis Electric Cooperative will be conducting a short, planned power outage on September 11 at 5 p.m. lasting less than 30 minutes.

The outage will affect the following Hickman County areas:

• Highway 50 East, including the water plant and Swan
• Brushy and Beaverdam areas
• Highway 100 East to McKeel Martial Arts, including Hickman County schools
• All of downtown Centerville

This brief interruption is necessary for MLEC crews to safely complete repairs to equipment damaged in a vehicle accident on Highway 50 on Wednesday.

“We appreciate our members’ understanding as we complete these repairs,” said MLEC President and CEO Keith Carnahan. “Our crews are working quickly and safely to restore the system to normal.”

* Until 630 PM CDT.

* At 526 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 9 miles northeast
of Linden, moving east at 20 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
Hohenwald, Centerville, Primm Springs, Kimmins, Nunnelly, and
Pleasantville.
