PLANNED POWER OUTAGE REMINDER: “– New equipment was successfully installed at the Hilltop Substation in Hickman County over the weekend to improve long-term reliability. To complete the upgrades, Meriwether Lewis Electric Cooperative needs to briefly turn off power at the substation (less than one hour) on Tuesday, June 16, at 10 p.m.

Homes and businesses impacted are the same ones who experienced the related outage on Sunday. Residents can quickly double-check their address by using MLEC’s Information Map at mlec.com.”

🚧 Road Hazard Advisory 🚧

Update- our amazing citizens have worked to get it off the road. Stay cautious though.

Please use extreme caution on Pinewood Road near 6816 Pinewood Road. The roadway is currently down to one lane due to debris, and the Highway Department is en route to clear the area.

With heavy rain and storms moving through the county, visibility is reduced and road conditions can change quickly. Slow down, allow extra stopping distance, and be prepared for oncoming traffic in the single open lane.

If you don’t have to travel, consider delaying your trip until conditions improve.
