SCAM ALERT: If your business received a covid related PPP loan or ERTC, there is a scam going around where someone will call you and claim to be from your local sheriff's department (or other law enforcement) and they will tell you that you failed to show up for your business audit related to PPP or ERTC loans. They sound very legitimate and will even email you a copy of the certified mail summons that you supposedly signed. They will have the PPP loan amount info, your business name, etc. But, all of this info is public information, so don't be alarmed. Tell them to go pound sand and hang up. Or, better yet, report them to the police.
