A list of the 100 Greatest Guitar Solos would be impossible to compile under any circumstances, but Rolling Stone's new list is particularly lacking. I mean Berton Averre's solo on "My Sharona" makes it but Rory Gallagher, Robert Fripp, John McLaughlin and Pat Metheny are nowhere to be found. Let alone, Terje Rypdal, Richard Pinhas, Manuel Gottsching and so, so many more. And just for the record, Van Halen's Eruption is a grossly overrated wa**er of a solo, Eddie had so many much better ones.
