UPDATE 9/5/25: Unfortunately he was found deceased in Chester. The family of James Hollowell thanks everyone for their efforts.

**ALERT - URGENT**

The gentleman pictured below is James "Mr. Jimmy" Hollowell. James is a 90 year old black male who suffers from dementia. He has been missing from the 1600 block of W. 9th Street since Monday morning, August 25th, 2025. He is known to walk west on 9th Street frequenting the intersections of Flower and Engle, and also enjoys Memorial Park.

Being as though Mr. Hollowell suffers from dementia and has not returned home in over 48 hours, it is pertinent that we keep our eyes peeled. Please call 911 if you see him or have any information regarding his whereabouts.

*I have not yet been advised of his clothing description but will add it to the comment section if I get the information.

We heard you, Chester! One of the biggest complaints we’ve received is that you can’t reach City Hall—and we’re doing something about it.

We’re officially upgrading to a new phone system! After digging into the issue, we found our old system was outdated and couldn’t be repaired. So on August 11, we’re switching over to a new and improved automated system.

⚠️ IMPORTANT: Phones will be down for about 24 hours during the transition. But you can still reach:
City Hall: 610-447-7700
Police Department (non-emergency): 610.447.7931
Fire Department (non-emergency): 610.447.7765
In an emergency, always call 911.

Thanks for your patience as we work to serve you better!
