🚨 Delco GOP Office Vandalized 🚨

On Wednesday, the Delaware County GOP headquarters in Media was vandalized and left with a shattered front glass door. This is yet another disturbing example of the rising hostility directed at Republicans across our communities.

There is absolutely no room for violence in our political discourse. Disagreements are part of democracy. Smashing windows is not.

We’re calling on Democrats in Delaware County and statewide to denounce this behavior clearly and unequivocally. Silence is complicity.

We will continue to stand strong, do our work, and fight for our values.

CHESTER CITY: Fire on Hyatt Street

On 11/14 at approximately 6pm a fire has occurred at 1003 Hyatt Street In Chester. Fire Crews quickly arrived on scene when the call was escalated with a potential entrapment.

Fire personnel from Ridley Township, Prospect Park, Claymont, Darby, Eddystone and Tinicum rapidly appeared on scene with calls of potential entrapment.

Morton Avenue (That was already shut down from a earlier powerline Accident near 12th Street) expanded the shutdown to 9th street. Further causing Traffic Blockage.

It is reported that everyone made it out of the building.

CHESTER CITY: Semi Crash leaves Sun Village in the Dark.

On 11/14 at approximately 11am a semi truck collides with a pole in the at 12th and Morton Avenue in Chester. Fire Crews quickly arrived on scene with additional personnel from Yeadon and Ridley Township assisting the situation. PECO (Philadelphia Electric Company) was also called in to deactivate the and burning Transformer and assist with the situation.

Morton Ave around the 12Th St interchange was Shut down with traffic being redirected to East 9th and East 22nd Street thru the side streets of Terrill and Chestnut Streets. Fire Police along with the private traffic control company Flagger Force was redirecting traffic

However at approximately 6pm a separate incident involving the 1000 block of Hyatt St expanded Morton Avenue's shutdown to 9th Street. Power was not fully restored until after midnight.

The driver has survived the incident and is expected to make a recovery.

MEDIA: Fire at Hampton Inn

On 11/14 at approximately 10:30am Fire Personnel responded 300 South Beatty Rd in Media for a Dryer Fire.

Company 23 (Media Fire and Hook) and Company 51 (South Media Fire Company) Responded to the scene along with support from Fire companies from Middletown, Springfield, Newtown Square and Rose Tree.

EMS From Riddle Memorial Hospital MCIU also arrived on scene.

The Hotel was temporarily evacuated. No Injuries have been reported.
