Chickasha Mayor Zach Grayson issues a proclamation for the Chickasha High School Robotics team AKA The Cockadoodle Dominators for its great season, including a top 20 placing at the FIRST World Robotics competition in Houston where 600 teams were in the field.

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... Southern Kingfisher County in central Oklahoma... Northwestern Grady County in central Oklahoma... Northeastern Caddo County in southwestern Oklahoma... Canadian County in central Oklahoma...

* Until 830 PM CDT.

* At 742 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 4 miles north of Calumet to 6 miles east of Hinton, moving east at 30 mph. Additional showers and thunderstorms south to near Cogar will also be capable of producing 60 mph winds.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

Here is the ribbon cutting from today’s grand opening of the new Owls Nest gymnasium for Ninnekah schools! It’s a 45,000 sq. ft. facility that seats 1,100. Ninnekah will be hosting the Grady County High School basketball tournament in January 2027.

Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive today with the National Association of Letter Carriers. Place some non-perishable food items in a plastic bag next to your mailbox. All food collected will be distributed to local food pantries. Last year in Chickasha last year 6,500 pounds of food was collected😀

Our offices will be closing at 2pm tomorrow for the celebration of life services for Don Collett. If you have prize pick ups please pick them up before noon if possible so we can wind our office down for the day.
