As many of you know, Glasverse - Pryo Vixen's campaign was canceled by Kickstarter due to their newly implemented mature content policies...even though it had already been approved and live before those policies took effect.
Their email stated:
“While we understand this will be frustrating to hear, our third party payments processor, Stripe, has since confirmed that the Glasverse - Pyro Vixen #1: Smoke & Fire project is not supportable as it still contains adult content. Accordingly, the project has since been suspended and cannot be reinstated.”
I understand this issue explores more mature themes but that reflects the real world. Why Pyro Vixen was singled out while similar or even more explicit campaigns remain active, I honestly don’t know.
Pyro Vixen’s flame will not be extinguished.
I rebuilt the campaign with no indication of mature content. (Pre-launch link below) Although Kickstarter approved it again, they warned me, in an email, that Stripe could still shut it down. Because of that risk and the possibility that future campaigns may face the same issue, I’ll also be making my projects available through other platforms for pre-order, including our website Codexent.com, starting next week.
I've got my fingers crossed that all goes well this time.
