🙏 A PRAYER FOR WISDOM OVER THE CITY OF COTULLA & LA SALLE COUNTY 🙏

Today, Chiaro Ministries lifts up the leaders of the City of Cotulla and La Salle County in prayer.

Lord, we ask You to pour out wisdom, knowledge, discernment, integrity, and understanding upon every person entrusted with leadership in our city and county.

When Solomon was given the opportunity to ask You for anything, he did not ask for riches, recognition, or power. He asked for wisdom and an understanding heart to lead the people well.

“Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad.” — 1 Kings 3:9

Father, give our leaders that same heart.

Give them Solomon-like wisdom when decisions are difficult.
Give them discernment when the right path is not obvious.
Give them courage to do what is right, even when it is difficult.
Give them humility to listen and seek wise counsel.
Give them knowledge and understanding beyond their own experience.

Surround them with people of integrity who genuinely desire what is best for Cotulla and La Salle County as a whole.

Lord, where there is division, bring unity.
Where there is uncertainty, bring clarity.
Where there are difficult decisions, bring wisdom.
Where there are disagreements, bring understanding.
Where there are challenges, bring God-centered solutions.

We pray for our city officials, county officials, law enforcement, first responders, educators, department leaders, business leaders, pastors, and community leaders—every person carrying responsibility and influence within our community.

Remind each one that leadership is more than a title or position. Leadership is a responsibility to serve.

Your Word declares:

“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally…” — James 1:5

So today, Lord, we ask.

Pour out Your wisdom over the City of Cotulla.
Pour out Your wisdom over La Salle County.
Give our leaders discernment.
Give them integrity.
Give them courage.
Give them understanding.
Give them hearts that desire to serve the people well.

May the decisions being made today help build a stronger, safer, united, and flourishing community for the generations coming behind us.

🙏 Lord, bless the City of Cotulla and La Salle County. Give our leaders the wisdom of Solomon and hearts committed to serving the people well.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

🔥 MY BIGGEST FLEX? GOD NEVER TOOK HIS HAND OFF ME. 🔥

Doors closed.
People left.
Relationships changed.
Plans fell apart.
Seasons shifted.
And there were moments when I couldn’t understand what God was doing.

But through it all, His hand never left me.

Some doors closed because God was protecting me from what I couldn’t see.

Some people left because they were only assigned to a season—not the entire journey.

Some plans failed because God’s purpose was greater than the plan I had created for myself.

And some seasons became uncomfortable because God was pushing me out of places I had already outgrown.

I may have lost some things along the way, but I never lost the presence of God.

When people walked away, He stayed.
When resources became uncertain, He provided.
When my strength ran low, He carried me.
When the enemy tried to convince me it was over, God reminded me that He was still writing my story.

That’s the testimony.

Not that everything went perfectly.
Not that every prayer was answered the way I expected.
Not that I never cried, struggled, questioned, or became weary.

The testimony is:

I went through it—and God kept me.

His covering remained.
His grace remained.
His mercy remained.
His calling remained.
And His promise still stands.

📖 “For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.” — Isaiah 41:13 KJV

Sometimes we measure God’s faithfulness by what stayed in our lives. But maybe we need to start recognizing His faithfulness by realizing WE are still standing.

You survived what you thought would break you.

You made it through seasons you didn’t think you had the strength to endure.

And you’re still here—not because you were strong enough by yourself, but because the hand of God was holding you the entire time.

So yes…

MY BIGGEST FLEX ISN’T WHAT I HAVE.
IT’S WHO HAS KEPT ME.

Doors closed.
People left.
Seasons shifted.

BUT GOD NEVER TOOK HIS HAND OFF ME. 🙌🔥

📖 “The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O LORD, endureth for ever.” — Psalm 138:8 KJV

🔥 DECLARATION:
God’s hand is still on my life. What changed around me cannot cancel what He promised over me. I am covered, I am kept, and I am moving forward by His grace.

If God has kept you through seasons you thought would break you, comment: “HIS HAND IS STILL ON ME!” 🙌

🔥 DON’T REPAY EVIL WITH EVIL — OVERCOME IT WITH LOVE 🔥

“Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” — Romans 12:21

One of the hardest tests of our faith is not how we treat people who love us—it’s how we respond to people who have hurt us.

When someone betrays you, your flesh wants to expose them.
When someone talks about you, you want to defend yourself.
When someone does you wrong, you want them to experience what they caused you to experience.

But Jesus calls us to a different response.

Don’t become what hurt you.

Their hatred doesn’t give you permission to hate.
Their dishonesty doesn’t give you permission to become dishonest.
Their disrespect doesn’t give you permission to lose your character.
Their betrayal doesn’t give you permission to seek revenge.

Romans 12:17 tells us:

“Do not repay anyone evil for evil.”

And Jesus takes it even further:

“Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.” — Matthew 5:44

That kind of love is not weakness.

It takes strength to pray when you could retaliate.
It takes maturity to remain silent when you could expose.
It takes faith to forgive when you never received an apology.
And it takes the Holy Spirit to keep your heart clean when someone has deliberately wounded you.

But understand this:

Loving someone does not mean allowing them unlimited access to you.

You can forgive and still establish boundaries.
You can pray for someone and still recognize unhealthy behavior.
You can love from a distance.
You can release bitterness without restoring the same level of trust.

Forgiveness releases the offense. Trust must be rebuilt through changed behavior.

And sometimes the greatest victory isn’t watching God deal with the person who hurt you.

The greatest victory is realizing that what they did to you did not change who you are becoming in Christ.

You didn’t become bitter.

You didn’t become hateful.

You didn’t become consumed with revenge.

You kept praying.
You kept loving.
You kept serving.
You kept obeying God.
You kept moving forward.

That is victory.

Jesus demonstrated this from the cross. While surrounded by rejection, humiliation and cruelty, He prayed:

“Father, forgive them…” — Luke 23:34

If Christ could demonstrate mercy in the middle of suffering, then through His Spirit we can choose mercy when our flesh wants revenge.

So when someone gives you evil, don’t hand evil back.

Give the situation to God.

Let Him defend you.
Let Him bring truth to light.
Let Him handle what you cannot control.

Your responsibility is to guard your heart and remain faithful to Christ.

📖 Romans 12:19 reminds us:
“Do not take revenge… ‘It is mine to avenge; I will repay,’ says the Lord.”

You don’t have to get even.

You have to stay free.

🔥 TODAY’S DECLARATION:

I will not allow someone else’s actions to corrupt my heart. I choose forgiveness over bitterness, prayer over revenge, love over hatred, and obedience over retaliation. I will not be overcome by evil—I will overcome evil with good.

They may have wounded you, but they don’t get to determine who you become.

LOVE LIKE JESUS.
FORGIVE LIKE JESUS.
WALK IN WISDOM.
KEEP YOUR HEART CLEAN.
AND LET GOD HANDLE THE REST.

🔥 BEING ATTACKED BY THE VERY PEOPLE YOU PROTECTED…

There is a different kind of pain when the attack doesn’t come from an enemy.

It comes from someone you defended.
Someone you covered.
Someone you prayed for.
Someone you stood beside when others walked away.
Someone whose name you protected when they weren’t even in the room.

David understood this kind of pain:

“For it was not an enemy that reproached me; then I could have borne it… But it was thou, a man mine equal, my guide, and mine acquaintance.”
— Psalm 55:12–13

Some wounds cut deeper because they come from people who knew your heart.

You remember the prayers.
You remember the conversations.
You remember defending them when others misunderstood them.
You remember giving grace when you could have exposed their failures.
You remember standing between them and criticism.

And then one day, you became the person they attacked.

But hear this:

Their betrayal does not cancel your assignment.
Their rejection does not erase your obedience.
Their attack does not invalidate the good you did.

Jesus knew what it was like to have betrayal sitting at His own table.

David knew what it was like to experience betrayal from those close to him.

Scripture never promises that everyone we love will handle our hearts correctly.

But it does teach us that someone else’s betrayal does not have permission to turn us into someone God never called us to become.

So don’t let betrayal make you bitter.

Don’t regret having a good heart because somebody mishandled it.

Don’t stop loving because someone abused your kindness.

Don’t become cruel because someone took advantage of your compassion.

Become wiser.
Become more discerning.
Strengthen your boundaries.
Guard your heart.
And keep walking with God.

Sometimes what feels like rejection becomes revelation.

God may use a painful season to show you the difference between someone who loves you and someone who simply loves what you do for them.

And when God reveals it, you don’t have to seek revenge.

You don’t have to expose everybody.
You don’t have to fight every accusation.
You don’t have to convince everyone of your side.

Sometimes your greatest response is to heal, forgive, establish boundaries, and keep moving forward.

Let God handle what you cannot.

“No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper…”
— Isaiah 54:17

You survived the attacks that came from outside the circle.

And by the grace of God, you will survive the wounds that came from inside it too.

🔥 I PROTECTED THEM.
I PRAYED FOR THEM.
I COVERED THEM.
I LOVED THEM.
AND THEY STILL HURT ME.

But they did not destroy me.

I will forgive without becoming foolish.
I will love without ignoring discernment.
I will have grace without giving everyone unlimited access.

And most importantly:

I WILL NOT LET WHAT THEY DID TO ME CHANGE WHO GOD IS CALLING ME TO BE.
