Congratulations to David Phillippi on being named one of Cincy Magazine's Top 100 Rising Stars in Greater Cincinnati. With 28 years of dedicated service to The PPS Group, David has excelled in serving our corporate and agency clients.

Beyond his professional achievements, David boasts quite the eclectic personal resume. He is an accomplished magician and an active member of the Professional Putters Association, where he secured his first U.S. National Putting Championship in 2023. Additionally, David is a 15-time gold medalist in the Southwest Ohio Senior Olympics.

Today, we celebrate our multifaceted star—rising leader, magician, champion putter, and gold medalist. Keep up the exceptional work, David!

We’re jumping back into our moving image collection for this week’s with this 1920s silent clip showcasing the newly developed and improved Coney Island.

In the clip, you see passengers on the Island Queen cruising down the river, embarking into Coney Island. The full clip also shows parking issues at the time and is an interesting insight into early transportation (and its issues) in the city!

As part of our celebration this month, we’re hosting a FREE Mini-Film Festival in the historic Newsreel Theater on Saturday, October 26 from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Featured selections will include moving image clips from our Collections of the Melody Showcase, Midwestern Hayride, Soul Street and more. Many of the clips have not been viewed since their original showcase and most are being shared publicly for the first time in decades!
