Update on Dilynn Turner: “Since January 2nd, this girl has endured more than most people face in a lifetime.
Five surgeries. Countless procedures. Months spent in hospital rooms. Days upon days of rehab. A ventilator. A trach. A feeding tube. A VP shunt. A skull implant. A wheelchair. Having her head shaved three times. Pain, setbacks, and challenges that no teenager should ever have to experience…and somehow, she still manages to smile.
She survived an accident that, by all accounts, she never should have survived. Yet by the grace of God, she is still here, continuing to fight. I know everyone thinks their child is amazing, but I definitely believe she has the heart of a warrior. Through every obstacle, Dilynn shows us what perseverance looks like. She reminds me that strength isn’t measured by what you carry, but by how you keep going when life gives you every reason to quit.
At only 16 years old, she is the strongest person I know, and I couldn’t be more proud to be her mom.
Most of all, we give all the glory, honor, and praise to God. There is no doubt in my mind that His hand has been on Dilynn every step of this journey. Through the darkest days, He has carried us, comforted us, and put the right people in the right places at the right time.
We are so thankful for His faithfulness and for every victory, every milestone, and every smile He has blessed us with.”
