BIG ROCK COMIN' 😬
It’s IMPORTANT for you to hear.
If you have your audio on- you just heard me say this in the video.
THIS should be the warning we are given when deciding to start a business.
In business, just like in this video, everything can be running smooth—when suddenly, a big ol' boulder barrels toward you.
Like this video, where my husband and cinematographer - Does. Not. Budge. for the sake of getting the shot—entrepreneurs without that steadfastness risk returning to the 9-5 grind fast.
This shoot was grueling, dirty, and EPIC>
(Just like building this business.)
On this shoot, we worked with EJ Snyder from Naked and Afraid on a new survival series.
In this shot - he would come sliding down the mountainside and (hopefully,) catch himself perfectly at the end.
He did.
He is EJ SNYDER for goodness sake. 🔥

Our cameras were also unharmed in the making of this video...mostly.
We went back to basecamp after 17 hours with INCHES of dirt washing off in the shower.
We debriefed, ate some dinner together as we always do with our clients, and went to bed prepped to start it all again at promptly 0400 the next morning.
After 4 days of this, we returned home.
My entire body ached - but my heart was EXPLODING with joy.
We pulled it off.
You see:
I was a teen mom and high school drop out.
I forced my way into a Journalism job 7 years ago because I wouldn't take no for an answer. That launched my marketing career. (A story for another day. )
I started Buckshot Media as a single momma with no money in the bank, got a few clients, hired my hubs for a shoot and 4 months later we were in love and filming a reality series together.
Fast forward 3 years to this shoot.
Here I am filming with ROCKSTARS from Nat Geo & A&E as the Executive Producer.
What the….🤯
We almost lost this business once... Well more like 4 or 5 times.
We had $2 to our name and NO PROSPECTS>
We had eviction notices and repossession threats.
Did we fold?
Hell no.
We bootstrapped, made cold calls, sent cold emails, and crawled through shards of glass to get to where we are today.
The moral of this story:
If you are gonna dodge the boulder - get back in the cubicle.
If you have the staying power to sit steadfast and watch it stop inches from taking you out...
