Who do you think brought the drama? 😂

Throwback to this backpacking trip last summer: 24 hours, 15 miles, a little lightning and hail, a few crash outs, and a lot of memories 😌 this was actually such a fun trip and we ended up getting perfect weather the next morning, but had to show the chaotic side of backpacking too

Also and I were on the same page today with our reels so check out her version 😂

Our favorite spots in one of our favorite places in the world… Grand Teton National Park 👇🏔️💚

We’ve been to GTNP 4 times and absolutely love this mountain range. We’re super excited to head to the other side of the Tetons in Idaho next month. 🥹 This area is so special and somewhere we’ll keep returning to over and over. Even with all of our visits, we feel like we’ve barely scratched the surface of incredible hiking that this park offers.

Here are some important things to know before you go:
- Always carry bear spray while hiking and keep your distance from wildlife (100 yards away from bears)
- this park is busy! Start hikes before 9 AM to avoid crowds
- leave no trace by packing out your trash, staying on trail, and don’t pick or trample wildflowers
- PACK LAYERS! Even during the summer, it gets cold at night and in the morning
- Always pack a waterproof shell or rain jacket
- The trails can be covered in snow until mid-June, so plan accordingly and check for recent trail reviews
- Expect limited cell service
- Stay on trail and don’t pick wildflowers

Favorite sunrise spot: Schwabacher Landing
Favorite short trail: Taggart Lake Trail
Favorite lake to hang out at: Leigh Lake
Favorite day hike: Cascade Canyon Trail (& take the boat across Jenny Lake)
Favorite restaurant: Dornan’s Pizza Company (eat on the rooftop)

Have you been to Grand Teton National Park?

Have you ever opened and seen a trail marked [CLOSED]? 🤔

It’s actually part of something much bigger!

AllTrails has been one of our top resources for finding hikes for over 10 years, but we recently learned it does so much more than show trail info and maps (their Peak membership even identifies plants which I’m personally SO excited about🤓)

Through their Public Lands Program, they give backend access to land managers (counties and park systems like ) who can update closures, permits, route changes, and even Leave No Trace info in real time.

And from their 2025 Impact Report, they’re also investing back into the outdoors through conservation efforts like the Stewards Fund which supports trail maintenance, cleanups, and climate resiliency projects.

It’s always a balance of more access to the outdoors… but also protecting the places we love so they don’t get overwhelmed.

So when you see [CLOSED], it’s part of a system trying to protect both people and the trails, so please respect it! 🤍
