This Is Not Me is comprised of five poignant voices caught between truth and illusion. Their secrets bleed into one another, unraveling in a space the lines of confession and performance blur. It’s a haunting meditation on identity, regret, and who we are when the masks begin to crack.

We must thank the amazing artists that we're involved in making this project so beautiful, so playful, and so very honest. We thank Ralph Giordano, Robert Bowen, Ian Brander, Edina Kim, Sidney Cara, and Chris Dubey for their time, talents, and truth.

A great big thank you to Chris Dubey for contributing towards getting Close-Up: An Odd-yssey released and rolling! We had the absolute pleasure of working with Chris on our newest short film "This Is Not Me" and were were so stoked to work with someone who goes all-in the way Chris does.

There is so much life and art in this film community and we are so humbled and proud to be part of it.

The world is a scary place and it's even scarier and lonelier when you have a dream. A dream that, to give up on, would mean certain spiritual death. We will not stop making our films, our way, beacuse we know our audience is out there. Some of you have already found us, and we cannot tell you how happy we are to have your support. Movies are made to be watched and I don't want anyone to miss out on this one.

Dear Friends of GATSMENTA Films,

When we started making Close-Up: An Odd-yssey, we knew it was going to be hard. What we didn’t expect was how much you (our friends and film community) would carry us through it.

There were days when we doubted ourselves. Days when the film nearly broke us entirely. But people kept encouraging us, telling us they believed in this project. That belief helped us hold onto our own, it kept us going on the hardest days.

Now, we’re so close to the finish line. We’re raising $3,000 for music rights, copyright, and festival submissions so Close-Up: An Odd-yssey can finally take flight and find its audience.

That’s a wrap!

It has been an absolute honor to work with the amazing creatives who dedicated their time and talents to something bigger than themselves. This Is Not Me, a short film based on the nobodies, has completed production and we are so excited to show you what we’ve been up to!

It is not common to get to work with filmmakers like Ian Brander and Rob Bowen. This film would not exist as it is without the collaboration and friendship of these two men. Collaborators that not only understand your vision but expound on it, fellow filmmakers that you don’t need to protect your vision from but who inspire you the to open it up for true collaborative magic to emerge.

The actors we had the privilege to work with, who were up for anything and down with our message. Who had the bravery to allow themselves to be vulnerable and honest with all of you on camera.

You are in for a treat and we hope it’s as sweet as this journey has been for us.

We are so happy and grateful for the team working with us on our latest short, “This Is Not Me”.

We had an awesome shoot and are nearing productions end of this little gem. Nick and I have so enjoyed seeing the talent and passion from our cast and crew who have the desire to make something beautiful.

Busy weekend? That would be a wild understatement. 😆 Completing the final edit of Close-Up: An Odd-yssey and diving right into our newest short, This Is Not Me. The actors are KILLING it and the crew is bringing some truly creative magic to this.🪄 We’re making something weird and special and real. Stay tuned, we’re a rocketship and couldn’t create all this without the beautiful souls who support and believe in a couple strange underdogs like us. 🎬🔥 Find your tribe, have fun, and make something epic.
