Far Afield Media

Far Afield Media Capturing Colorado. Celebrating Integrity. Inspiring Design. We believe every photo has a story — not just of place, but of perspective.

Far Afield Media is a Colorado-based neurodiversity advocacy and educational organization dedicated to championing the unique strengths, challenges, and experiences of individuals with Autism and ADHD. At Far Afield Media, our mission is simple: to share the beauty of Colorado with the world through powerful imagery rooted in integrity, diversity, and artistic vision. Born from a deep love of wild

landscapes, timeless design, and authentic storytelling, Far Afield Media was founded to offer more than just photography — we offer a feeling, a sense of place, and a conversation starter for every space we touch. Our Story
What began as solitary hikes and camera-laden road trips through the Rockies has grown into a curated collection of photographic art. Each piece is created with intention, capturing the untamed elegance of Colorado — from alpine lakes to desert canyons, bustling Denver streets to tranquil aspen groves.

This morning I stopped at Coot Lake in Boulder on my way to work. I've taken many of my best photos here. It's nice and calm in the morning, a good place for me to sit and enjoy fresh air.

My son John had a heart transplant at 7 months old. He also has physical and mental disabilities. His ability to work is extremely limited, to the point we weren't sure he'd be able to work. He won't be able to live on his own, so we live together. I'm proud of the man he's becoming.
I started the GoFundMe bacause we still live in the apartment where his mom died, and he deserves a fresh start.

As the business of Far Afield Media moves toward neurodivergent consulting, advocacy, and speaking, I've made the decision to close farafieldmedia.com as a photography sales and portfolio page. It will return, reflecting the change in business.
Eventually, photography sales will return in some form.
