Mum made the outfit. I supplied the legs. 💅💗

My first look for Iggy Fashion Week! Now in its third year, this September celebration was founded and is hosted by 🇲‌🇮‌🇸‌🇭‌🇦‌ fashion icon iggy in collaboration with Italian Greyhounds. A chance to get creative, express ourselves and take our wardrobes up a notch. When your breed has legs that make supermodels jealous and face cards that belong on billboards, you might as well dress accordingly.

Mum made this whole pink situation herself, and it took considerably longer than she’s willing to publicly admit. I won’t expose her, but I did fit several naps into the production schedule.

She learned a lot along the way, which has apparently given her the confidence to have even more ridiculous ideas. There are things brewing in this house. Watch this space. 👀

Four years ago today, I picked up this tiny little girl in Arkansas, having absolutely no idea just how completely she was about to change my life.

Since that day, being Poppy’s mum has been the greatest privilege of my life.

She has saved me in more ways than I could ever put into words and brought something into my life that I simply didn’t know was missing before her.

From the baby in this photo, to the little girl I kissed goodbye this morning for just two sleeps, she has been my constant. The little face I look for when I walk through the door, the companion beside me through ordinary days and big adventures, and the one whose happiness and wellbeing will always matter enormously to me.

Watching her grow into exactly who she is has been one of the greatest joys of these four years. She has made my life fuller, softer, funnier and infinitely more meaningful simply by being in it.

It is a joy to know her.
An honour to love her.
And the privilege of my lifetime to be her mum.

Four years of us, my darling Poppy. And not even forever could be long enough. 🤍

Poppy eventually won because of the flower’s connection to WWI and WWII remembrance… and Mum loves her history. So technically, this harness is me exploring the alternate timeline where Rose won. 😂

This is the Sunshine and Daffodils set from Lucy & Co. — and I swear it makes Mum smile every single time she looks at me.

I still remember the day we packed up Alabama… hearts full, but a little heavy too. Leaving behind our people wasn’t easy.

But then… Denver happened and in just one year… everything changed.

We found our view. The Rocky Mountains stole our hearts before we even knew what hit us. Snow-dusted peaks in the distance. Sunshine almost every day. Air that took our breath away… literally, at first.

And the life we’ve built here? It feels like magic ✨

We found our people again. The Colorado Italian Greyhound crew. Our Instagram besties Lily, Ivy, & Misty (Lily, Ivy, Misti) & finally in real life. Adventures with Moo the Italian Greyhound. So many new friends in the pet world… because this city just gets dogs.

Our days now look different.

Off-leash park mornings with water, zoomies, and 2.5 miles for mum
Mountain trips chasing snow, elk, moose… and that perfect golden light
Garden of the Gods, Boulder, Estes, Breck… over and over again
Red Rocks nights that don’t feel real

And the little things…

Sidewalk walks. Crisp air. Watching for deer and coyotes on our last wee wees. Seeing fresh snow on the peaks every morning like it’s just normal now.

It took us a minute to adjust. The altitude. The change. The unknown.

But looking back? This was exactly the life we needed.

Denver, you’ve given us adventure, community, and a whole new kind of joy! And just like that… this place we once took a chance on… became home.

I fear I may never wear anything else again 💜✨
This set… this entire set… I’m completely obsessed. The pearls, the soft lilac tones, the perfect little details on every single piece — from my harness to my bow to my matching p**p bag (yes, even that is cute 💜).

Everything from Lucy & Co. • Pet Gear & Apparel just feels different. The quality is beautiful, but more importantly… it feels beautiful. The neoprene is soft and cushioned, so it hugs me in all the right places without any rubbing (very important for a delicate little iggy like me 💜).
