Here is how it works:
Our Coolsculpting devices use suction to pull the tissue close to the walls of the device for complete and even cooling. During your treatment, a gel and a plastic wrap or gel pad are applied to the targeted area.
Applicators that use vacuum or suction will draw the tissue into the applicator cup. You may feel a deep pulling, tugging, and mild pinching. With a non-vacuum surface applicator, you may experience pressure sensations.
The gradual, controlled cooling is then delivered to the targeted fat so you may feel intense cold, stinging, tingling, aching, or cramping as the treatment begins but these intense sensations subside once the area becomes numb. Once numb, it’s smooth sailing for the next 30-45 minutes.
Once the treatment is complete the technician usually applies deep manual massage to rewarm and smooth out the treated area. This massage is essential to optimize results as it manipulates the fragile tissue for faster removal from the body. It also reduces the appearance of any bulge in the treatment area.
