GOOD NEWS! 📢 | Glenwood Canyon
In just over two weeks, crews have been able to clean , fill roughly 200 “super sacks” with slide debris to serve as temporary rockfall protection, and place temporary asphalt in order to reopen I-70 through Glenwood Canyon to a limited capacity. is finishing up the last details before opening up one lane in each direction in the canyon by tomorrow afternoon. Engineers have conducted inspections over this past week to check for structural integrity and have given it the “safe to open” approval once maintenance activities are complete.
