Meet Simba. Simba is available through Denver Animal Shelter. The shelter lists Simba as about 5 years old. The shelter says Simba weighs 66.00 lbs. Breed/listing: brown brindle and white Pit Bull Terrier. Simba came in with another dog and was great meeting a new dog friend here at the shelter. He is laid-back and easy to walk. * OIder kids recommended

They chained him outside in bear country with no food, no water, and a wound rotting on his skin. He was the runt, the smallest puppy nobody bothered to feed. The plan was simple: let the bears come for him. Then a couple showed up to rescue six other dogs, and they saw little Dorel. They didn't leave without him.

POV: I did not ask to be in charge today, but apparently the household needed a supervisor with paws. 🐾✨

Dog with toy/treat/food focus; tiny treasure management and snack politics.

This may look like a toy or snack situation, but emotionally it is much bigger than that. I found a treasure, evaluated the treasure, protected the treasure, and then had to decide whether the humans deserved access. These are complicated negotiations, and I would appreciate everyone respecting my leadership.

Anyway, I will be accepting praise, gentle forehead kisses, and maybe one tiny snack for my emotional labor. 🐾💛

Nobody asked me to become the nursery manager, but here we are, and honestly I was born for this shift.
