🕯️ Brazil Acknowledges Government Role in Killing Jewish Journalist
In a landmark statement, Brazil’s government has officially recognized its involvement in the killing of Jewish journalist Vladimir Herzog in 1975, during the country’s military dictatorship.

Herzog’s death in custody was long denied by officials, but a recent declaration reverses decades of silence, honoring his legacy and Jewish identity in Brazil’s democratic history.

📰 “How the U.S. Spent 15 Years Preparing to Strike Iran”
This wasn’t a spur-of-the-moment airstrike.

The Pentagon just confirmed that the June 26th attack on Iran’s Fordow nuclear site was the result of a 15-year covert military effort.
Using satellite intel, underground mapping, and the GBU-57 “bunker buster” bomb, U.S. defense planners targeted the deepest part of Iran’s nuclear development in one of the most complex operations in recent history.

🏠 Returning Home After War: Life Begins Again in Israel’s North
In the four months since returning to Kibbutz Eilon, Anat Goren has struggled to shake the feeling that “rockets could come down any second.”

Her cautious optimism echoes the mood in much of northern Israel, which is still recovering from the evacuation of some 60,000 residents during the yearlong war against Hezbollah, Iran’s most powerful proxy, which ended in November.

✨🗽The Jewish Story Behind July 4th:
You’ve heard of George Washington…
But did you know one of his closest aides was Jewish?

More than 100 Jews fought in the Revolutionary War.
At least two rose to the rank of colonel: Mordecai Sheftall and Isaac Franks — known as George Washington’s right-hand man.

And in 1776, Jewish congregations across the colonies were praying for American independence.

📜 These stories rarely make it into history books — but they shaped the nation we celebrate today.
