Recorded with Bierstadt Lagerhaus back in March 2026, podcast episode 782.

"Jimmy gets in touch with Ashleigh Carter, Chris Rippe, and Phil Joyce of Bierstadt Lagerhaus in Denver, CO. Ashleigh and Chris are co-owners of Bierstadt, and Phil also owns his own Brewery called Amalgam Brewing, though he contributes to Bierstadt as an assistant brewer. In this episode, we learn about the beginnings of both breweries, the roles of each person behind the scenes, all the work that goes into making a quality/consistent product, and why glassware matters! Love the All About Beer archives!
2014-

I found myself last week underground and beneath the warm, sticky East Village streets at a dimly lit and crowded high-top table with a pack of beer journalists. Snifters clinked, half-opened bottles littered the wooden table and half a dozen conversations filled the cool air while our host, Jimmy C...

New York State’s introduction of the Farm Brewery License in 2013, paired with Governor Andrew Cuomo’s administration’s pro-brewery stance, has encouraged small farm breweries to open in the Hudson Valley.

Congrats to 10 years !

Way back when... June 2016 we aired Episode 1 "The New Primitives" of On The Road with Beer Sessions Radio 4 part series.

With a pre-opening 2016 Spotlight on:
*Suarez Family Brewery:*
"Opening a brewery is no easy task; it’s a gigantic endeavor with many things that are out of the brewer’s control. Dan and Taylor Suarez are facing all of these obstacles, but that has not changed his calm nature even a little bit.

"We met Dan and Taylor at their brewery and tasting room. Together they have been working hard for the past year to get their space up and running and sorting out unexpected delays. Taylor has been taking care of the operations and business part of the brewery while also attending to her own company, Good Food Jobs. Dan’s reknowned in the beer world through his experience at breweries such as Sixpoint Brewery in New York City, Hill Farmstead in Vermont and OEC in Connecticut. His brewery, opening this summer, is highly anticipated."
