To our beloved community,
Three and half years ago Wayfinder Co-op was born over pizzas and beer. The concept was simple: bring together great folks from great companies and build a community around shared values. We envisioned a small office, maybe a dog, definitely a keg of beer.
Over the following three years, we built a community so much greater than anything we could have imagined over that first giddy brainstorm. We built (with much sweat) a beautiful home for 30+ small businesses. We shared ideas and passions. We opened a bar! We hosted some epic parties. We floated the South Platte every spring. We got to pet A LOT of dogs. We danced on a few tables. We had so much damn fun.
But every adventure eventually comes to an end and ours ends here. This past year has been hard for us all and like so many small businesses, we're shutting our doors because COVID has made it impossible to operate sustainably. We've been humbled by the strength of our members who supported us through it all, our building owners who did so much to give us a fighting chance, and our co-op board who guided us through some very rough waters. We gave it all we had and we're thankful for every bump along the way. This has definitely been Type 2 Fun.
Wayfinder has been, and always will be, about the people. We have formed so many friendships that will outlast the space we all shared. We're losing our home but we get to keep the bike rides, the hut trips, and the powder days with colleagues who have become friends. We think that's a pretty good deal.
Thank you to every single person who walked through our doors and made Wayfinder a fun place to be. It's been one hell of a ride.
With love and gratitude,
Britten + Chris
