🎭✨ AUDITIONS OPEN for ASL in Motion at Meow Wolf! ✨🎭

ImaginASL Performing Arts is looking for talented ASL performers (ages 16 & up, Deaf & Hearing, fluent in ASL) to join our 2nd Annual ASL in Motion Variety Show at Meow Wolf Denver!

💜 Why audition? This exciting showcase isn’t just about incredible performances—it’s also a fundraiser! All proceeds from this show will go toward funding our Fall 2025 production of Barefoot in the Park!

🎭 Audition Announcement 🎭

Calling ASL Performers Ages 10 and Up!

Showcase your talent with ImaginASL and Meow Wolf's "ASL in Motion" variety show and improv comedy showcase.

Auditions:

Let us know if you want to perform only in improv comedy games or if you also have the talent to perform for the variety show.
Could you share your performance experience with acting and/or comedy improv?
If you wish to perform for the variety show, send a video sample of the talent you want to accomplish.
You are also welcome to email your performance resume with your video.
Deadline:
Send your video to [email protected] by July 21, 2024.

Commitment:

One virtual meeting
Two virtual rehearsals
Two in-person rehearsals
Arrive early on performance day
One performance
Performers will need to have their own transportation to rehearsals and the performance.

Performance:

Saturday, September 14, 2024, at 3 PM
Meow Wolf, Denver, CO
The performances will be in American Sign Language with English voice interpretation.

The performance is a fundraiser for ImaginASL and Meow Wolf. All performers will be unpaid volunteers. Performers and attendees will be able to explore Meow Wolf after the 2:00 PM performance.

We are thrilled to announce that the Rocky Mountain Deaf Film Festival (RMDFF) will be returning on November 8th - 10th, 2024, in Denver, Colorado with the Junior Rocky Mountain Deaf Film Festival for youth filmmakers (K-12) scheduled for November 7th, 2024 in Colorado Springs, Colorado at Colorado School for the Deaf and Blind (CSDB).

As we gear up for this exciting event, we are reaching out to invite you to submit any new films or projects you may have for consideration. Submissions are now open until August 1st, 2024. You can submit your films through the following link: https://filmfreeway.com/RMDFF

or you can send in another way to us.

We also encourage you to spread the word among other Deaf filmmakers and Sign Language users who may be interested in sharing their work with us. A film genre could be a variety including sign language literature.
