To my animal lover, travel buddy, lumberjack, doer-of-anything-he-puts-his-mind-to, HUSBAND and best friend:

Happy birthday, Drew!!! 💝😘💓

You walk through life with a smile on your face and it reminds the rest of us that life doesn’t have to be so serious… just fun 💓 you make every single day an adventure whether it be a 26-hour travel day from Australia to Mexico, an 8 hour van trip from the Grand Canyon to San Diego, a week long pet sit with a herd of alpacas and sheep, a day in the garden chopping wood, saving a baby raccoon from a near death experience, or a lazy day on a boat just reading your book while you watch the harbor seals swim by…..I could go on and on forever!

I love you SO MUCH and there is no one else I’d rather go through life with.

Happy 28th birthday to my favorite person in the world! 💛🌻😍

Where’s the coolest campground you’ve ever stayed?

We’ll go first: South Carlsbad State Beach Campground 🌊

There’s just something about hearing the ocean and watching the sunset over the horizon while a white sandy beach sits below a cliff under your campground. 🥹

The secret is OUT! We ELOPED in San Diego, California 🥂💌

On April 14, 2026, we had no idea that it would become our forever wedding anniversary, but honestly, 4.14 has a nice ring to it 🤭

Since Drew and I got engaged back in January, we've gone back and forth about weddings and how to do it the right way. We joked about eloping from the get go... but we both wanted it to be somewhere special.

So when our van life trip took a turn due to weather (crazy that we were supposed to be in Utah), we decided to head to San Diego for a few days to enjoy the beach, the food and visit my friend Melissa - my random freshman-year roomie turned best friend (and now on our marriage certificate as our witness forever) 🥲

Drew had never been to San Diego, and honestly, l've never seen him so excited about a city. We jokingly checked marriage requirements in the state of California but figured there was no way we'd get a last minute appointment, but then Tuesday morning, when Melissa brought us to her favorite donut shop in her Carlsbad hometown, there was ONE marriage appointment available at San Marcos County Clerk Office that afternoon at 330pm.

The day took a wild turn and I can't thank Melissa enough for being our "groomsmaid," chauffeur, flower gir, hype woman, photographer/ videographer and witness all in one, her mom's Encinitas Coast Highway Flower shop for the most beautiful bouquet, and a last minute dress that I found at Bliss101 in Encinitas- thank you for steaming it ladies! 👰‍♀️

We were married at 3:30pm, and after not eating all day due to obvious nerves, we went to In-N-Out to celebrate and ended at a Padres v. Mariners game. Coincidentally, Mariners happen to be my home team, but I might've switched sides for the occasion ⚾️

It was the most California elopement possible...and just like that, they were husband and wife! 💍❣️💐

Wheres your favorite place to watch the sunset? 🌅

🚐 Van life is kind of crazy; you can be eating a dinner at the Grand Canyon, and then 12 hours later be driving over the border to California, and then ending your day watching the sun set over the ocean in San Diego.

All in a days work ✅

🥶 originally, we were supposed to head to Utah after the Grand Canyon but a cold front was entering the Southwest and with having de-winterized the van, we didn’t want to risk freezing and well… the beach was a pretty solid Plan B!

Is Arizona’s Verde Valley on your bucket list?!

✅ 9 DAYS OF VAN LIFE OFFICIALLY IN THE BOOKS 🚐

So we continued driving towards the sun...

⚠️ We are about HALFWAY done with our van tour and we are LOVING the freedom of going wherever we want (and also wish it could last forever)

🌞 We spent a couple nights in the Verde Valley, AZ: most people know this area for the beautiful Sedona and its stunning red rock formations and endless hikes and sunshine.

🏜️ We slept south of Sedona in a dispersed camping area. What we've noticed is just how peaceful it really is in a lot of these dispersed campgrounds; people are *mostly* quiet and really respectful of their neighbors but you'll always have a good chat with a traveler or two in each place.

👻 Before leaving the Verde Valley and
*accidentally* spending the next 3 hours on a “primitive" dirt road, we stopped in Jerome: a historic copper mining town and renowned as "America's largest ghost town".... although it that's
the truth we think the ghosts here are the friendly kind hehehe 🤭

OFFICIALLY DAY 7 OF VAN LIFE and things are looking up folks! 😉🚐

⚠️ Biggest win of all? Our battery has been working like it's supposed to and we HAVE RUNNING WATER 💦🎉 this is huuuge because we are heading into Sedona next, and then hitting some national parks so camping was about to get real $$$... now we’re fully self-sufficient and get to do some real off-grid camping 🏞️

🌶️ Four days in New Mexico was not enough but we loved our time in this state and Santa Fe was a gorgeous city to stop by. A must if you're passing through, and try to give yourself more than a couple hours (or days)!

🗺️ We headed through Albuquerque west through Gallup NM, arrived to our 4th night after dark and left before morning and continued onwards to Arizona - our first time in this state and LOVING IT already.

🪵 Day Five was spent at Petrified Forest National Park, an absolute hidden gem located along historic Route 66 in northeastern AZ. The park here is absolutely stunning displaying vibrant badlands, deserts and has some incredibly unique aspects, from the fascinating geology of petrified wood to the history of the Pueblo people. The park is named after the abundance of petrified wood (fossilized remains of trees from over 200 MILLION years ago fe that now have turned into rainbow colored quartz stones. Imagine... dinosaurs were roaming the land and the climate was similar to Costa Rica (and now it's a freaking desert).

☕️ Getting used to van life the first few days was a trip in itself but now we're really leaning in to it and absolutely having a BLAST... and the journey continues today to Sedona 🏜️

When you’re on the beach, do you prefer relaxing in the shade or frolicking in the water?

Tucked away from the already quiet town of Port Barton, this beach hugs a beautiful, secluded section of the ocean. After spending a few weeks in the Philippines, you honestly start to take that warm turquoise water for granted. Looking back at these photos now, I definitely wish I had spent more time swimming! 😂

Found my favorite color today... It’s "Nubian Blue." 💙🏠

There is no better way to see Aswan than from the water. Cruising toward the Nubian village, you get to see a side of Egypt that feels like stepping back in time—peaceful, colorful, and deeply rooted in history. Every corner of the village is a work of art!

Have you ever been to a place that felt like a hidden gem? Tell me where! 👇
