With airline prices through the roof this summer, I think that a Colorado staycation for those us in the Rocky Mountain region should be made a priority! Last summer I had the chance to do three different Colorado staycations that I think should be added to your summer bucketlists:

🏕 is one of the most beautiful places in Colorado, and staying onsite overnight in a glamping tent is a magical experience

🏞: are cozy botique vintage cabins with creekside vibes, and a great home base to explore Mt. Blue Sky now that the scenic byway is back open after 2 years!

✨️: is a beautifully restored Victorian hotel that has brought luxury to Cañon City, and a super comfortable place to visit the Royal Gorge!

Colorado may not be known for beaches, but along the Arkansas River in Buena Vista is a hidden beach bar that makes a great place for rafters and roadtrippers alike!

Colorado road trips are special, because often the journey can be as much an adventure as the destination. So always plan in time for those little side quests- like visiting Treasure Falls off of Hwy 160 on your way to Pagosa Springs!

in Pagosa Springs is a bucket-list stay in Colorado, and is the perfect place for a summer of renewal! ♨️😌✨️

If you're not familiar with the resort at Pagosa Springs, they tap into the world's deepest thermal hot spring waters to fill over 45+ riverside pools. Full of minerals with therapeutic healing benefits known since the indigenous Ute peoples of area used them, this place has been a place of healing and relaxation for centuries.

Just last year, the resort completed a major expansion that I had yet to experience- and wow, it's incredible. Tons of new pools, as well as a panoramic sauna and thermal spa that includes a mud bath (at no extra cost)!

This hosted stay allowed me to experience the best part being an overnight guest for the first time: 24/7 access to the pools! Being able to soak in pools by myself while the resort isn't open to the public was truly magical.
