The Blatino Podcast

Hey community! There is no easy way to say this so here it goes: The Blatino Podcast has ran its course and will no longer be releasing episodes.

The three of us have been hustling in our separate creative projects and wow, we are coming up with some dope stuff as individuals. The podcast was making its transition into season 4 and to be completely transparent; creating content, maintaining a consistent schedule, and marketing appropriately was taking up more time than we initially planned for; considering we don’t have much staff. Myself, Lance, and Riaga had a super transparent conversation and realized we want to make sure we are giving this podcast our 100% ALWAYS. Reality is that we can’t give the podcast the content and attention it deserves.

We love this podcast community so damn much. We appreciate everyone who has stuck around ever since we released our very first episode back in 2019. It has been full of laughter, reflection, growth, inspiration, and pivotal milestones.

I personally would like to give a huge thanks to Lance and Riaga. Who have always believed in the podcast. This opened several opportunities to find my own voice in media and creativity.

I think I’m speaking for both myself and Riaga here- Lance, you are a such a blessing. You believed in us. You sparked that passion in us. You kept us going and motivated as long as you could with what you had. We will never take that for granted and our loyalty and friendship to you is long lasting. You’re chosen family and we love you so much!

Stay tuned with our individual accounts! We all have amazing projects we are working on that serve and uplift our communities. Which is what TBP family is all about.

SN: no, this isn’t the Joe Budden podcast where we all want to fight each other and are breaking up because of drama. ( we too grown for that) We are a family and prioritize the love and friendship we have for each other. That comes before anything. All love over here.

Blatino= Black AND Latino! The Blatino Podcast is hosted by Black and Latinx's millenials Riaga, Stephanie, and Lance. This journey started when Riaga (The Blatino) and Stephanie (Latina) were having conversations about all things POC struggle with and are trying to overcome. Our Executive Producer and TURNT UP TV leader Lance Mijares joined us in content creation and has been naturally been contributing to the podcast. Join us every Tuesday as we talk about a variety of topics including: race/ethnicity, colonization, cutlure, music, realtionships and dating, generational trauma, Black cutlure, LatinX culture, being mixed race and ethnicity, immigration, education etc.

HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM THE BLATINO PODCAST

We are super stoked for 2021 and all the abundance, blessings, and successes that it will bring. Instead of taking the time to speak about our goals and such, we did something a bit different at the pod this time.

I brought in a game called “Who's Most Likely To” which is very similar to Cards Against Humanity! Concept of the game is to vote who is most likely to do/say/act what is on the card. Example: who's most likely to fart and not say anything” *we said Lance would

The team got to know each other a bit more playing this game and TRUST me. You'll be wheeze laughing as hard as I was! Guess who owns 7 s*x toys? Also just GUESS who's most likely to refer to themselves in 3rd person. What about who's most likely to hit in a Disney character at Disneyland? The list goes on and on.

We hope you enjoy and we are planning on doing these game episodes once a month on The Blatino Podcast! Let us know in the comments what game we should play next.

Wow, The Blatino Podcast had an amazing closing episode for 2020 yesterday. What started as an idea that Riaga and I had has turned into an entire community. My creative baby is growing up! Reflecting on all the laughs, tears, educational and challenging conversations we have had. This podcast has given me the opportunity to be a boundless version of myself!

To our listeners- As the fellow creator, host, content development, and bad ass Latina on the show, I can only hope I was able to connect with y’all some way, shape or form. I consider myself to have a radical mind; for radical folks. Thank you for being here and giving me your thoughts and feedback. It means the world to me. I’m looking forward to connecting even more with y’all in 2021!
