Hey everyone, we wanted to give you all a little background on the Void zine. It was originally started as an independent project by our good friend Rich Jacobs, a man who was universally loved and will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him. When Rich told us that he was working on the zine we said that we’d help him sell copies along with the Void LP. As Rich started to get sick the idea of printing a zine was more than he could handle so he asked us if we would step in and pay for it, which we immediately agreed to do. Rich continued to work on the zine, often throwing out ideas from his hospital bed, but as his illness progressed he asked our good friend and label designer Sohrab Habibion to complete the project for him. Sohrab did a spectacular job, and the original plan was to just include copies of the zine with the limited glow-in-the-dark green vinyl. That started as a great idea but then the limited color sold out in a couple of days and we were flooded with requests for the zine. We quickly added an option for the zine with the clear vinyl and we went back to our printer to put in an order for more. We’d like to say a big thanks to everyone for supporting Rich’s Void zine, and if you managed to grab the glow-in-the-dark vinyl then your copy with the zine is on the way to you. For everyone who ordered the clear vinyl LP with the zine, we will have them in your hands before the March 6th street date, but we’re currently waiting for the zine reprint to arrive, so you probably won’t receive them until the end of February. Thanks again to everyone for supporting Void!
