NAIFA-Colorado team of our BOD went to the NAIFA Congressional Conference earlier this week and it was a great trip! A couple of statistics:
1. Life insurers in CO pay out $4Billion each year in Life insurance policies and Annuity contracts. Thats $11.1 Million/day!
2. The industry represents 45,000 jobs in CO.

Our talking points we wanted to get across with the HOR and Senate were:
1. Maintain current tax treatment of insurance, retirement security, and other savings products.
2. Support the equitable tax treatment of small business income.
3. We oppose the tax hikes on insurance products and dont cap the corporate SALT deduction.

Pretty awesome to sit in the floor if the House of Representatives a couple weeks ago! Then was able to be the NAIFA-Colorado co-chair and introduce the Senate and House Rep leaders to speak with our group about what is happening in our industries and how we can collaborate!
