Put in some work this Labor Day weekend + did a different type of “moto camping.”

Put another 4 hours on the Husky (8.3 and counting 🥹). This was my first time riding real trails - rocky/exposed/rooty single track, rock gardens aka “fruity pebbles,” water crossings, and plenty of baby heads and loose rocks.

Thankful for Malary who is one of the most inspiring riders I know + Allen to be willing to take me out and teach me technique in real time and helping me get through terrain when I knew I was beyond my skillset. 😂🤘

Riding dirt bikes is something I’ve dreamed of doing for 30 years of my life and it is SO exciting to finally be doing the thing!

This bike was never meant to replace my Pan America but rather to help make me a better motorcyclist in all terrain. There are plenty of trails and things I want to ride that I have no desire to take a 600+ lb adventure bike on.

WHAT’S NEXT?

Proper suspension: the stock suspension is way too stiff for me and is pretty unpredictable. Looking to either respring or go full send and just have a suspension guru in the Colorado area help me lower/revalve/do everything to make this bike a bit more fun. It would be nice to be able to get a toe down here and there when I need to dab rather than reaching for ground and finding nothing below me. 😂 (Looking for recommendations on suspension pros for enduro stuff in Colorado.)

More parts: time to load a cart full of goodies via Taco Moto Co. and RevZilla ! Hand guards, skid plate, protective stuff, tidy tail, etc.

CLINICS! Time to build good riding habits before I build bad ones. Winter is coming here in Colorado so I’m not sure how many opportunities will present themselves over the next six months, but I have my eyes peeled.

Also…the MotoTote I picked up from Moto Camp Nerd - Outdoor Gear has been the perfect hitch carrier for the Tacoma. Super stable and easy to load and unload my bike from. 10/10 recommend!

Filmed a YouTube video - it’ll be uploaded in the next month. I’m a little behind on edits and I am only home 5 days between now and October. It’s a little difficult to edit and ride a motorcycle simultaneously.

🍜 Roadside Ramen! (Details below👇 )

What You’ll Need:
🍳 Cookware + Dinnerware: I’m using the all-new Sea to Summit XLITE Collection! Specifically, their new 1L Pot + 16oz Mug, which collapse and nest into each other. If you’ve followed me for any period of time, then you know that I’ve used every generation of Sea to Summit’s collapsible cookware for backpacking, motorcycle camping, and now truck camping, too. The XLITE Collection is great for anyone looking for highly packable, yet highly durable cookware. I’d recommend adding one of their bowls and/or plates to complete your setup!

🔥 Fuel and a camp stove of choice

🍜 Ingredients:
1 Pack of Ramen Noodles (I used Pork Flavor but you can use whatever you want)
Pulled Pork (Brought this from home in a packable cooler)
Broth: Mayo + Soy Sauce (I mixed this at home and brought it with me)
Ramen Eggs (Marinated @ Home)
Seaweed (if desired - I personally love seaweed snack packs!)

👩🏼‍🍳How to make:
Bring water to a boil
Add Ramen
Drain water to your liking (if needed)
Add Flavor Packet, Mayo, and Soy Sauce stir until combined
Add Pork, let it reheat for a few before turning stove off
Add Eggs
Remove from heat, enjoy!

Scenes from The Dusty Lizard this past weekend with the Bivouac Coffee Co. team! Didn’t record any of the riding but I did get to put about five hours on the husky this weekend ✨finally!✨

This was one of the best motorcycle events I’ve attended in years. The attendees were friendly and egos were low (I met so many incredible people!), the bands were great and the food catering was on point! The Mosko Moto team has a special thing going with these events and if you can, I’d highly recommend checking one out! The next event is in Idaho next month.

This was my first time getting to ride my dirt bike after various plans falling through over the past six months. Definitely need to get some more things dialed in on this bike. Next up is definitely new springs so the suspension is a bit more predictable + set up for me. Right now I could hit a pebble and have no clue which direction me or my bike will go afterward 🤣 (not so funny in the moment but always funny afterward hahaha)

Thanks to RevZilla for getting the Husky dialed in with new knobbies and mousses (meece, duh) and Moto Camp Nerd - Outdoor Gear for the MotoTote! This hitch carrier is insanely confidence inspiring and stable (more on that later). Highly recommend.

I’ll be headed back into the mountains in a couple of weeks to do some more rippin’ and I can’t wait!

Sturgis 2026: 3200 miles in 10 days. 3 road trips all rolled in to one. 🤘 I’ve ridden to Sturgis over a dozen times and this has easily become one of my top 3 Sturgis experiences over the years.

Days 1-3: Solo Trip from Denver 👉 Glacier National Park. This was my first time riding Going-To-The-Sun and I made sure to hit my favorite, the Beartooth Highway, en route!

Days 4-6: Rolled from Glacier 👉 Sturgis with the Arlen Ness Motorcycles and Hamsters USA crew. That was by far the most fun I’ve had riding in a group in a long time. Met and rode with a lot of really cool people. I’m counting down the days til next year! 🤣👏

Days 7-9: 86th Sturgis Rally with too many incredible people to name. Joined in on some group rides and went and ripped through the Needles Highway and Iron Mountain Road with Jess - Her Two Wheels | Motorcycle Travel & More

Day 10: Home after miles of smiles.

Didn’t plan much out other than where I’d be staying the night each night and just let the days kinda unfold. Didn’t want to work nonstop the whole trip. Wanted to crush miles with friends and good people. Sounds like I did just that. 🤝

The Michelin Motorcycle Anakee Adventure 2’s were a great tire for the trip and still have plenty of tread left for the next adventure! 🤘

If you asked me for a scenic route from Glacier National Park to the Beartooth Highway, this is what I’d recommend 👉

📍Pilot Flying J for gas and grub! Right now at Pilot, you can get a breakfast burrito and C4 or Bloom Energy Drink for only $6! Ends 9/1/2026.

📍Glacier National Park: Going to the Sun Road is a 50-mile scenic drive that is arguably one of the most breathtaking roads in the country. Depending on when you go, it might be VERY busy, so be sure to pack your patience, stop at the various scenic overlooks, and enjoy the views.

📍Great Falls, MT: If you love history, especially the Lewis and Clark expedition, then Great Falls would be a great overnight stop for you. I’d recommend taking a drive along the Missouri River, checking out the Lewis & Clark museum, the waterfalls the town is known for, as well as Giant Springs State Park!

📍Kings Hill Scenic Byway + Highway 89: this route winds through mountains and valleys, and you can soak in the Hot Springs in White Sulphur Springs! There are tons of historical markers along the way to stop and read too.

📍Red Lodge, MT: This little town has tons of shops, lodging, and eateries. It’s always one of my favorite stops when I’m in the area.

📍Beartooth Highway: This is the MECCA of scenic drives! Glacier’s GTTS is incredible but I think Beartooth really takes the cake. You can continue through to Cooke City / Silvergate and west to Yellowstone National Park (Lamar Valley is BEAUTIFUL!) or you can head south via Chief Joseph Highway and end the adventure in Cody. Both options will lead you on pretty great adventures.

Day 3 on the Side Quest to Sturgis! FINALLY crossed Going to the Sun Road off my “must ride” bucket list! Glacier National Park is absolutely beautiful, but visiting during the park’s peak visitation season was a poor choice. There were SO many people and the traffic was a bit brutal. But the views were incredible

I think Beartooth still takes the cake as my favorite motorcycle road in the country.

Stopped at the Kyiyo Mercantile for some bear claw pastries on the way in to the park and ended the day with some tacos in whitefish and good taco.

The solo trip to Sturgis ends today and tomorrow I’ll roll with a crew to the Black Hills!
