RECORD STORE DAY IS SOCIAL DISTANCING!
2020 is different. So what we're doing this year is going to be different too.

No one knows what kind of party we'll all be in the mood for, or able to hold safely, at any time this year, in any part of the world. So we're focusing this year not on the party aspect of Record Store Day, but on getting the great releases on the RSD 2020 List into your local record store, and then into your collection.

RSD DROPS! Three street dates when titles from The List will be available only at participating indie record stores. We're working on getting the new version of The List -- with new RSD Drops dates -- all nice and pretty for you. Look for that on the Record Store Day site on June 1.

Vinyl Nation documentary is a deep dig into the crates of the vinyl record resurgence to discover what an old technology says about our relationship to music and each other in a divided time in America.
The premiere was supposed to happen this spring, but...

The filmakers are turning it into a special party for record store fans-- the weekend of April 18, they want us all to watch, and support indie record stores while we do it. Participating record stores are selling "tickets" for special online access to the film, so buy a ticket, support a record store and check out VINYL NATION in the comfort of your own record room. This Saturday should be Record Store Day 2020. As you may be aware, it will now be June 20.
But, you don’t have to wait until June 20 to celebrate how awesome your local indie record store is. You can do it today, tomorrow, or why not do it on Saturday as a tribute to when RSD normally occurs?
Stores are operating as best they can right now by shipping, curbside pickup, local deliveries and whatever they are allowed to do and can do considering the circumstances.
Celebrate those essential local indie record stores who turn you on, turn you up and turn you loose to music!
