This is the first post I’ve made on this account in months. I couldn’t bring myself to post about my trip to The Winds this summer or my trip to The Creek this fall because both places remind me of Aaron. I guess part of grief is feeling guilty for experiencing joy during moments that remind you of someone that’s no longer with us.
On Sunday afternoon, dozens of us gathered to remember the lives of Aaron Livingston and Andrew Plagens. We honored them the best way we knew how - by placing their names beside some of the best at the Ouray Ice Park Memorial.
It was a beautiful yet emotional event that included stories throughout the lives of Aaron and Andrew. Both of them exuded so much soul and style within their craft while remaining true to their sarcastic and joking personalities. They both squeezed more into their 31 years respectfully than most could even dream up in a lifetime.
One message was clear: all of us that had the pleasure to have met Aaron and / or Andrew were better people because of it.
I was fortunate to adopt one of Aaron’s ice screws this week and felt his spirit with me this weekend while placing it in the park. Miss ya homie!
Now that that’s out of my system hopefully I’ll start to post on this account soon. Thanks for the love and support everyone ❤️

On Tuesday afternoon and I will release our short film “Hooked on the Winds” - a raw look into Brittany’s first trip out to Mt. Ho**er. The story intertwines life with rock climbing and digs into Brittany’s deepest inspirations for her ambitious pursuits.

These never-before-seen photos were taken on the other side of the Wind River Range in Cirque of the Sun on the stunning Golden Dihedral of Icarus (5.11+). Brittany put up the first ascent of Icarus Direct (5.13-) just minutes before onsighting this stunning glowing granite dihedral. “Hooked on the Winds” was filmed one week before these photos were shot.

This screen grab was taken from a short film I’ll be releasing in the upcoming weeks about Brittany Goris and her inaugural trip to Mt. Ho**er in the Wind River Range.
This film touches on history, friendship, Brittany’s experience as an outnumbered woman, and some impressive rock climbing and scenery.
The Winds are my favorite place in the world weather it be for rock climbing, backpacking or contemplating life while swimming in a high alpine lake. I’m very excited to debut this video and help tell Brittany’s story very soon. Follow along as I post some teasers over the next week. 💥
