Introducing Mathena 🤎🐎

Colorado-raised entrepreneur, model, event producer, and equestrian — currently campaigning to become the first woman to represent Colorado at the Miss Black Rodeo USA 2027 pageant.

“I’m the COO of Box State Bash, where we create large-scale cultural experiences, live entertainment, and community-driven events across Colorado. I’m also building the High Plains Legacy Riders Foundation — a nonprofit dedicated to increasing access, leadership opportunities, and representation for Black and biracial youth in western and equestrian spaces.

Horses have been part of my life since I was three years old. From cutting horses and trail programs to fashion, media, and live events, my mission is to bridge western heritage with modern culture while creating spaces where more people feel seen, represented, and empowered to belong.

Right now, my focus is on sponsorships, media partnerships, youth programming, and building long-term initiatives that leave a lasting impact both inside and outside of the rodeo world.

This is bigger than a title. It’s legacy. ✨”
