Stop by the College View Recreation Center (2525 S Decatur St, Denver, CO 80219), Monday – Friday during dinner time, 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm for a Tasty Food meal. Serving all youth ages 3-18, Tasty Food meals include up to five food groups that are low in fat and prepared fresh. No ID or registration required—just show up and eat. College View Elementary is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated soccer coach to lead our 4th and 5th grade Bulldogs team this season. The season runs from September 15 through November 14. Practices will be held once a week on Mondays from 2:30 to 3:30 PM, and games will take place after school on Thursdays. Coaches will be paid $20.75 per hour, with a total of approximately 45 hours of work for the entire season. This is a great opportunity to support young athletes, foster teamwork, and be part of a fun and energetic school community. If you’re interested, please contact Erin Mulcahy at 720-424-8660. We are excited to welcome students back to College View on Tuesday, August 19th. As a reminder, school starts at 7:30 AM and Tuesday is an "early release" day. Student will be dismissed at 1:30 PM.

Safe and Welcoming Schools

Over the summer, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) increased its activity across the state. Our priority at DPS is protecting our students while they are in our care. This remains at the forefront of ensuring our schools continue to be safe and welcoming. In the event that a government official arrives at a school, staff are expected to follow district protocol for allowing or denying entry to visitors.

Families are strongly encouraged to revisit the Family Resource Toolkit (available in English, Spanish and several languages), which contains information and resources about your rights, current DPS policies, training, mental health support and a list of community resources. In addition to the toolkit, the Safe and Welcoming webpage includes other resources, such as the Student Resource Toolkit, Rights Cards, a Family Legal Webinar recording (in both English and Spanish) and directions on how to update emergency contacts (in both English and Spanish).
