Last day at work today…and you already know I had to show up with these butter pecan cinnamon rolls for my people. 🤍

This chapter taught me a lot, especially about navigating the social and political chaos that can come with a workplace, and more importantly, what I will and won’t accept moving forward. Growth doesn’t always come from comfort, and this experience definitely made that clear.

I won’t miss the job itself, but I will miss a handful of really good humans I had the chance to connect with. Those are the parts I’m taking with me. Genuine friendships that made the hard days a little easier.

Here’s to closing one door and walking into new opportunities. I don’t know exactly what’s next yet, but I know I’m ready for it.

It’s been a quiet couple of weeks over here.

I hit a bit of a wall to be honest. Job searching took more out of me than I expected, and even baking (my usual happy place) wasn’t going how I wanted. When things did turn out, my camera decided not to cooperate either…which felt very on brand.

But I’m doing okay. Taking the time I needed helped, and I’m finding my way back into the kitchen with a clearer head and a little more patience for the process. 💜

Recipe 14: Funfetti Cookies 🎉

These turned out pretty good, just not exactly what I go for in a cookie. I love a soft, chewy texture, and these had a bit more crunch than I prefer.

One thing I did love was finding sprinkles without artificial dyes!

I think with a few adjustments, I’d consider making again, but I just don’t get the hype on this recipe. I’d rather have funfetti cupcakes!

We missed our Recipe 14 deadline last week because life happened, 🙃 but we didn’t skip it!

Not bad, not bad.

It was kind of like making pancakes where you sacrifice the first few trying to dial in size and temperature.

But once I figured it out, it was almost like the ones my mom used to make!
