The camera’s on you now.

What story are you telling? 👀

If you think your industry isn’t interesting enough to tell great stories, you’re probably overlooking the people inside of it.

A welder in a factory talking honestly about his job, the people he works with, and the life he’s built through it is infinitely more compelling than most over-scripted marketing campaigns.

That’s the kind of story people actually connect with. 😤

Mood for the next few weeks. 😤🎥🤘

Flights booked, cameras packed, and an unhealthy amount of caffeine inbound. We’re heading into a stretch of travel shoots, local productions, and summer projects, so things are about to get a little chaotic around here.

Good thing we like it that way. 👽

We love getting to work alongside our clients throughout the entire process. 🎥

From dialing in mics to reviewing footage on set, there’s a lot that goes into making something great together… and a lot of laughs in between. 😄

Great news everyone, it’s officially Mustache May.

If you’re thinking to yourself, “but guys… I’ve never heard of Mustache May. There’s no way that’s a real holiday…”

You’re completely right. We made it up. And now it’s the unofficial holiday of Press Rec.

If you’ve got a meeting with us this month, there’s a very good chance you’ll be handed a fake mustache. We recommend just going with it. 🥸

When Gabriel Eng-Goetz was asked to create a mural at Boxyard RTP, he saw it as a chance to tell a story that truly reflects the people who make this place what it is.

Born and raised in Durham, with his family and friends here, Gabriel wanted to do the piece justice by representing the community honestly. The mural focuses on the area’s immigrant history through an Asian American lens, pulled from his own family’s story. His grandparents immigrated in the 1920s and started a Chinese vegetable farm in the South, creating opportunity for generations. At the center is a dragon, symbolizing harmony and good fortune.

We filmed his story back in 2021. 🎥 RTP is a place we obviously spend a lot of time in, and projects like this are a big part of why we love being here.

Everything changes when you just start paying attention. 👀

The moment someone stops mid-sentence and says something real, the way a space feels before it’s finished, the small details most teams overlook. That’s what we’re there to catch, before it’s gone.

We capture what makes your company real and turn it into a documentary that builds lasting trust. 🎥

We’ve been cookin’ on this one! 🍳

About a year in on Warp 10 at Research Triangle Park, still showing up as it takes shape piece by piece. Early mornings, hard hats, chasing light through unfinished spaces, catching moments you don’t get twice.

We’ll be here for a while. Just getting started 🔥

Most brand videos are shot on spherical lenses because they’re consistent and built to capture things as they are. We’ve been testing anamorphic lenses as a way to push that a bit and capture a different kind of emotion.

We’ll try not to geek out or get too technical, but the way an image comes together matters… bokeh, flare, aspect ratio, distortion, edge compression… these are the things that actually shift how it’s experienced.

Out-of-focus lights stretch into ovals instead of staying perfectly round. It’s subtle, but once you see it, you can’t unsee it. Highlights streak across the frame, and that horizontal flare isn’t added in post, it’s happening naturally in the lens.

The background starts to fall away, melting into something softer and a bit more abstract, while the spherical version holds onto more detail so you can still make out the shape and structure. The edges pick up a slight compression too, which adds a bit more depth.

If you swipe between the two, it’s the same scene and the same setup, but it comes across completely differently just based on the lens.

It’s one of those small decisions that can give a story a completely different look. And, of course, another thing that makes video cool. 😎
