North Coast Current

North Coast Current An online community news journal based in Encinitas, Calif. The Current’s foundation includes the original Coast Dispatch.

Founded in February 2002, the North Coast Current is an online news journal dedicated to news, dialogue, arts and entertainment geared toward the North San Diego County communities of Encinitas, plus Carlsbad, Solana Beach and San Marcos. With the purchase of the Coast Dispatch’s remnants from its last publisher in 2005, the Current’s new-media approach to news and arts coverage is now merged with

seven decades of local journalism. Although the Coast Dispatch’s archives are not available to the public at this time, the Current will occasionally republish articles of historical interest. POSTING POLICY:
Members of the communities we cover are welcome to post replies to the Current's content. The Current reserves the right to delete posts and ban users if the posts are deemed to be spam, trolling, off topic or potentially libelous. We appreciate your adherence to this policy.
