Sister's rash & fever, hospital keeps sending her home

My sister started itching on her abdomen Christmas Eve, by the 26th it had spread across her entire abdomen and onto her limbs with extreme pain. After 6 hours in the hospital of fluids, ibuprofen, and topical cream she got sent home.The rash has stopped spreading but now itches but hasn't subsided. Can't get a hold of a dermatologist due to the holidays. Girl has a high pain tolerance but she is in immense pain. Was back in the hospital last night with abdominal cramps and UTI symptoms but got sent home this A.M. with antibiotics. She is 5 weeks pregnant. OBGYN also dissmive and said to take ibuprofen.

5 weeks pregnant, rash, excessive peeing but now dehydrated and presenting UTI symptoms but tested negative. Severe abdominal cramps and fever.

Any ideas what questions to ask the doctors? Or what additional symptoms to watch for?

Allergy that is spreading fast

Rash I've had since I was a few weeks old slowly spreading to more of my body every year. Dr's don't know what it is.

This started as a small spot below my ribs when I was about 6 weeks old. It's been ruled out that it's not fungal or parasites. The photo shows a spot where it's flared up on my thigh. It also covers my breasts, butt, and there's smaller spots on my legs. I've been to a dermatologist and he agreed it was weird and couldn't dx it.

Big bump/pimple that’s been there for at least month
It’s been on my forehead for at least a month , I have been to a dermatologist and she wanted me to go on Accutane ,but I wouldn’t like to go on it because everywhere else my skin is normal. I’ve been told it’s a sort of Cyst actually it’s 2 or 3 connected to each other. My derm maid a very small poke at it and only blood came out , so it very deep and had no puss on the surface. My period doesn’t affect it, I’ve had cysts before on my cheek but never like this. In some places of the bump it’s soft and at some places it’s hard. So my question is could anyone help me finally get rid of it I’ve been to many places but it’s still there and I would like to get rid of it WITHOUT any permanent scaring. If any had a similar issue please help me how did u get rid of it ?

Doc apt isn’t till January 25So this rash appears on my armpit once a month. It comes on strong like a sunburn. Peels like a sunburn and then goes away completely for a few weeks then comes back. This has happened once a month for the last 4 months. My doc referred me to a dermatologist but the only one that takes my insurance in my area is booked out I’ll January 😭 my p*p did basic blood work and everything there looked fine. He gave me a steroid cream and it does relieve the symptoms a little. But obviously doesn’t stop a flare up! The first pic is today. The rest are just some over the last few months. I have changed my deodorant three times (gel, powder, all natural) I’ve even tried no deodorant at all and still flared up. Also, it isn’t anywhere else on my body. Literally just the left armpit.

Going to dr/derm tomorrow in hopes for answers but my child has extreme eczema and it has never looked like this?? Its the worst on her back, but also on her belly arms and legs/neck. Her diaper area is rash free. Anyone have a clue what it could be?

Should I be nervous this body rash could be cancerous? (Worked near World Trade Center on 9/11 and years after)

For weeks husband was scratching his back on door frame or had me do it. No rash at first.

Then suddenly rash appeared on mid to upper back quickly followed by Rash on both legs, mid to upper back, both legs, and both arms, some on upper chest. They were painful and itchy. None on face, neck, groin, abdomen, or rear end.

No new soaps, or laundry soap, no new medications.

He went to regular doctor April 15th. Doctor prescribed prednisone and antihistamines.

Nothing helps. It actually looks worse now almost 2 months later. Still painful and itchy, and dry and kinda scales.

Went to regular doctor today. Doctor said he didn’t think it was cancerous, but that hubby should see dermatologist asap. Doctor himself called a dermatologist to get husband appointment on Tuesday.

My husband worked 1 block from trade center on 9/11 and all those months of inhaling and smelling the toxins in the air. He would brush the “dust” off suit before he came home. Worried this is sign of cancer.

I am sure the dermatologist will do a biopsy? Is that done by taking a scraping? How long before results? Does a biopsy tell you what it would be besides cancer?

78 year old mother with purpura rash, lower legs with new bilateral ankle oedema, and very easy bruising …

My mother is 78, generally very fit and well apart from quite a severe vaginal prolapse with worsening urinary and faecal incontinence (she has seen gynae several times for this). She is on no regular medication. Over the past 6 months or so she has had intense itching on different parts of her body from the scalp and face to her arms, abdomen and legs. There is no visible rash and no dry skin. Her GP just prescribed diprobase cream which doesn’t help. She describes the itch as coming from deep within and it is insatiable. She wakes up at night scratching until she bleeds. She is having extreme bruising to light pressure. A few months ago a blood test to check her cholesterol caused a huge bruise that covered half of her forearm and elbow. She has also felt very tired in the afternoons which isn’t normal for her.

A few weeks ago her dentist found a suspicious lesion on her tongue with enlarged lymph nodes in her neck so has referred her to the maxilofacial department on an urgent 2ww basis. Her appointment is on 28/10/25 which I will attend with her.

I went to see her yesterday and she has new bilateral ankle oedema (pitting) with a purpura like rash as pictured. She has no shortness of breath or cough. She said she can’t feel the nodes in her neck but I could feel multiple. She often hides symptoms from me as she doesn’t want me to worry. She tried to get a GP appointment last week to discuss the bruising and ask for a blood test but they said they couldn’t see her until 30/10.

I’m extremely concerned that these symptoms could be a sign of malignancy, either haematological or solid tumour somewhere. My question is, do these symptoms warrant more urgent attention today or can they wait until her appointment with maxfax on 28/10?

What is happening to me ??

I have a dermatology appointment next week but it keeps getting worse everyday. At first I thought it was ringworm and used a clotrimazole product on for months it never went away. Used a hydrocortisone (hydroval) after that for a few months putting it on my face and neck and it still never went away. This rash originally started as a small spot on my neck has now spread to my wrists , forearms , shoulder, neck and face. It’s manifested like a necklace around my entire neck.

Posting this here to see your thoughts. My husband got this rash years ago and they NEVER figured out what it was.

It started as a couple spots on his elbow which eventually spread to his entire arm and a little bit on his chest and back. Nothing on his stomach, face, neck or ge****ls. Then it spread to his legs entirely. This was at the second drs apt and by the 5th you couldn’t see his actual skin under the bumps. Just bloody itchy rash covered.

He saw specifically, got biopsied, took allergy tests and nothing explained what this was. The only thing that finally got rid of it was an insanely strong topical steroid after having it for two months.

Recurring itchy rash on hands for months, red swollen cracked and blistered — can’t find the cause

In April this year I started getting extremely itchy rashes on my hands. Started off mild and developed to worse condition since I was scratching really bad. Went to the doctor after 10 days and he was not much of a help, he just prescribed a steroid gel to use (which did not help at all). Only thing that helped was icing my hands.

Some days after I went to a different doctor and he was guessing it was hives, since he observed that the rashes came suddenly and went away, in repeat. I got prescribed anti histamine pills, which actually helped a while.

It is been 7 months and the rashes have been on and off, but not as bad as the first time. The first time was real bad as in the pictures, and after that whenever the rashes came back my hands would look red and swollen and blisters.

Right now as I am writing this post, I’ve had the itch for maybe 2 weeks and it is almost as bad as the first time. I don’t have those bumps like the pictures from the first time, but my fingers are swollen and thick, dry and cracked and flaky, red, warm, sweaty and some blisters.

I don’t know why this is happening. I don’t have any allergies as i know of. Some source says it could come from stress.

Is there anyone here that has had this type of rash? Are there any solutions for this?
