There are some places that do not need to be fancy to be special.

When you walk into G&A Tires, it almost feels like stepping back in time. The shop is simple. The setup is old school. Nothing about it feels overdone.

And honestly, that is part of what makes it feel right.

Because the values inside that shop feel the same way.

Hard work.
Honest service.
Treat people right.
Help where you can.
Do the job in front of you and do it well.

Steve and Wendy Cleveland operate this local family owned business, and you can feel that personal touch when you walk in. It is not corporate. It is not flashy. It is a real local shop run by real local people who still believe in serving others the old fashioned way.

In a world where everything is trying to look newer, faster, and flashier, there is something refreshing about a business that still feels grounded in timeless values.

G&A Tires is the kind of place that reminds you that simple still matters.

Not every business has to look polished to be professional.

Sometimes the most trusted places are the ones that still feel real.

A familiar Mexican restaurant spot may be getting a new chapter.

Azteca Maya appears to be closing, but the location may not be saying goodbye to Mexican food.

We’re hearing Mendoza Mexican Grill is expected to take over the space, bringing a new name and a fresh start to a familiar spot.

Same location. New restaurant. Still Mexican food.

We’ll keep an eye on it.
Thanks again KB!

Food news is heating up around North Augusta & Aiken.

Aiken County is getting a second ATown Wings location near Home Depot.

A new pizza spot is on the way on Richland Avenue next to Tokyo Grill, in the former Ferrando’s location.

And El Melecon looks like it is planning to open around the middle of June on Martintown Road.

Thanks KB!

Something was definitely going on yesterday.

Water was shooting high into the air, and people driving by could not help but notice. We do not know the full details yet, but hopefully crews were able to get it handled quickly.

Thank you JB for the clip!

There are some places that become part of the memory of a city without ever trying to.

China Express at Augusta Mall was one of those places.

For a lot of us, this was not just a quick stop in the food court. This was the smell that hit you while you were walking through the mall. This was the plate you ended up getting even when you said you were just going to look around. This was the orange chicken that had absolutely no business being as good as it was.

Sweet, crispy, sticky, hot, and somehow impossible to recreate.

It was the kind of orange chicken people still talk about like it was a local treasure. Because in a way, it was.

Before online reviews, food bloggers, and viral food videos, places like this built their reputation the simple way.

People tasted it.

People loved it.

People came back.

So today, we are giving China Express its flowers.

Not because it was fancy.

Because it was loved.

Big cleanouts. Small projects. Garage messes. Hoarder homes. Random junk that has been sitting there way too long.

Trash Bros Junk Removal is the kind of local company you call when you need help getting it gone.

They can help clean out garages, haul off unwanted items, handle bigger cleanup jobs, and take care of smaller projects that still need to be done.

They have personally helped save me time and trouble, and that matters when you already have enough on your plate.

Sometimes the hardest part is just getting started.

That is where a good local junk removal company makes a difference.

They show up, help clear the space, and make the job feel a lot less overwhelming.

If you have something you need cleaned out, hauled off, or finally dealt with, keep Trash Bros Junk Removal in mind.

One of my favorite parts of Let’s Talk Augusta is getting to connect good local businesses with other good local businesses.

Sometimes all it takes is the right introduction.

I’m always glad when LTA can help local people meet, work together, and support each other in real life.

Thank you guys for your recommendations. We went with the amazing 4 Brothers Maintenance LLC. I highly recommend this company. Thank you Lets Talk Augusta! They are approved

One of the things we hear often through Let’s Talk Augusta is that people want to support local, but they do not always know who to call, who to follow, or where to start.

That is one of the reasons we created the give Let’s Talk Augusta Business Directory.

It gives the community a simple place to discover local businesses, local services, and local people who are serving the Augusta area.

Every month, we take time to highlight the businesses inside the directory so they stay visible and so the community has an easy place to look when a need comes up.

Home services, cleaning, junk removal, food, real estate, auto work, creative services, business support, family services, and more.

These are local people building something, serving customers, creating jobs, and trying to stay top of mind in a busy world.

I’ll be tagging our current directory members in the comments.

Take a few minutes to scroll through, follow their pages, save this post, and keep them in mind the next time you need a local business.
