This is the page for Fall River Educational Television the educational access channel for the City of Fall River. A student driven multimedia lab and television studio based at B.M.C. Durfee High School that airs programming to Comcast Cable subscribers in Fall River, Massachusetts. The following is our mission statement:

"The goal of Fall River Educational Television is to provide stude

nts with direct exposure to multimedia and mass communications technology, in order to develop technical literacy and provide the skills needed and opportunities available to work directly in the industry. Through the exposure of television production, multimedia authoring, and school to work environments, students are prepared for post-secondary education or employment in various technology-based careers." The core of our mission is based on Media Literacy and Responsible Use.

Great night covering preliminary election results for the Mayoral race in the City of Fall River tonight. Special thanks to all the volunteers at the precincts, those who came out to vote, to our team of staff and students at FRED-TV & Fall River Government Television, to former Mayor John Mitchell for being our guest in our TV studio, to Fall River Community Media for their partnership, and of course to the candidates. Well done all. Remember to cast your vote on November 4th.

Drive-In Movie Night

(FALL RIVER, MA – September 10, 2025)- Mayor Paul Coogan is pleased to announce that the City of Fall River and Greater Fall River Re-Creation will be hosting a free Drive-In Movie Night on Friday, September 19 th , showcasing the new, live-action Lilo and Stitch movie.

The Drive-In movie night will take place at the old Durfee High School parking lot on 367 Ray Street. The gates will open at 5:00p.m. so that families can enjoy activities until 6:30p.m. The
movie will start at 7:00p.m.

Beginning at 5:00p.m., families can enjoy activities and games for all ages, as well as free food and refreshments provided by Greater Fall River RE-Creation. This event is free of charge
thanks to the generous sponsorship from Bristol County Savings Bank. Residents should be aware that there are no tickets necessary for this event, but they should plan to arrive around 5:00p.m. for a great parking spot.

Need Bus Transportation for the 2025–2026 School Year?

If you have not yet done so and your child qualifies and requires Regular Bus or ELL (English Language Learner) Bus transportation for the 2025–2026 school year, please complete the Transportation Form available on our website: https://www.fallriverschools.org/departments/transportation

- The form is available in English, Portuguese, Spanish, and Haitian Creole.
- It is only for students who need transportation from a neighborhood bus stop or qualify for ELL transportation.

Do not fill out this form if your child:

- Is a Special Education student who qualifies for door-to-door transportation (this is handled separately)
- Is a Preschool student (transportation is only provided for Special Education preschoolers and does not require this form)

Once our Transportation Team reviews your submission and confirms eligibility, your child will be assigned to a bus stop. You will be notified via email.

Bus ID tags will be available for pickup at your child’s school after you receive instructions from the school regarding tag distribution.
