People make fun of the Y2K panic today, but it actually caused serious issues around the world, with some glitches even impacting US spy satellites.

If you’re in the market for a haunted doll, here ya go!

I would like you to meet Lilly. She is one of the more active dolls at the museum. She isn't human but tries to come off that she is. She makes things move, opens closed things, a child laugh is heard a lot on evp sessions. To make a few changes to the museum collection I am offering Lilly up for sale. I ❤️ the Palmer House!

A new chapter is beginning for one of Sauk Centre’s most iconic destinations.

We want to extend our heartfelt congratulations to Kelley Freese, who has officially passed the torch at the The Palmer House Hotel, Restaurant & Pub after 24 years of ownership. Kelley’s dedication, vision, and steady leadership helped preserve this treasured landmark and solidify it as a must-visit destination on Minnesota’s Original Main Street. We are deeply grateful for her many years of service, not only to the Palmer House, but also to Visit Sauk Centre through her longtime role on our Board of Directors. Her impact on local tourism will be felt for years to come.

We’re also excited to welcome David Schrader as the new owner of the Palmer House Hotel, Restaurant & Pub. Dave is no stranger to this historic space or to Sauk Centre. Through his paranormal work and events with The Paranormal 60, he has spent countless hours within these walls, building a deep appreciation for the stories, character, and soul of the Palmer House. In many ways, this place already feels like home to him and that makes this transition especially meaningful.

Sauk Centre’s tourism story is rooted in history, hospitality, and unforgettable experiences, and we’re confident the Palmer House will continue to be a cornerstone of that story for visitors and locals alike. Congratulations to Kelley on a job beautifully done, and welcome to Dave as he steps into this exciting next chapter.

Michigan’s Upper Peninsula Ghost Towns Road Trip takes you to 11 old mining towns spread across the Keweenaw Peninsula, one of the most scenic parts of the Upper Peninsula. This area is known for its deep copper mining roots, and many of these places were once busy towns built around the mines. As you travel from stop to stop, you’ll see old mine shafts, falling-apart churches, and small houses where miners and their families once lived. You’ll also come across the stone ruins of Michigan’s oldest copper mine. Set along the quiet and remote shores of Lake Superior, these ghost towns blend rich history with wild, rugged scenery, making the trip perfect for anyone who enjoys exploring the past in beautiful, off-the-beaten-path places.
