Eleven pounds. Four little paws. One very important question: Do you have room for Mitzi? 🥹🐾 This week’s Green Front Furniture Dog of the Week is a nine-year-old Rat Terrier who has perfected the art of making herself an essential part of the household. She’s affectionate, curious, and happiest when whatever you’re doing includes her.

"I don’t need much room. Just a little spot in your house and a big one in your life."

Mitzi is ready for the kind of days that don’t sound particularly exciting until you have the right dog beside you: walks around the neighborhood, afternoons around the house, naps on the couch, and trips to see what’s happening beyond the front door. She’s past the puppy chaos, but there’s still plenty of pep packed into her step.

“My ideal job has excellent benefits: walks, snacks, and your lap.”

Mitzi doesn’t need a big, fancy happily-ever-after. She just needs people to call her own and a place where she can settle in for good. Visit the Southside SPCA to meet Mitzi and see how quickly 11 pounds of dog can fill a home.

In partnership with Green Front Furniture and the Southside SPCA, we’re helping pups find forever families — because every dog deserves their perfect match.

Meet Shirley, 18 pounds of Puggle with absolutely no plans to fade into the background. 🐾💕 At 8 years old, this week’s Green Front Furniture Dog of the Week has reached a pretty great stage of doghood: She’s past the puppy chaos, still loves getting out for a walk and knows exactly how she’d like to spend her days — preferably with her people.

“I like my walks, my people and knowing exactly what everyone is doing.”

Shirley is a sweet, affectionate Puggle mix who is very invested in whatever you happen to be doing. She’ll happily join you for a neighborhood stroll, keep tabs on things around the house and then claim the best seat available when it’s time to relax. A pint-sized companion with a big presence, she brings soulful eyes, happy tail wags and the occasional Puggle snort when she has something to add to the conversation.

"You provide the couch. I’ll provide the commentary."

If you’re looking for a smaller dog who’s affectionate, fun to have around and ready to settle right into everyday life with you, Shirley would like to schedule an interview. Visit the Southside SPCA to meet her. Your couch may never be entirely yours again, but we have a feeling you won’t mind.

In partnership with Green Front Furniture and the Southside SPCA, we’re helping pups find forever families — because every dog deserves their perfect match.
