This week's Green Front Dog of the Week may not live in the Hundred Acre Wood, but he’s got a hundred acres of love to give. Meet Pooh, your new best friend!
At 95 pounds, this six-year-old Pit Bull Terrier is more cuddly than a stuffed animal and twice as loyal. Pooh was surrendered to a rural animal control when his human could no longer care for him. He has weathered the loss of his home, his human and the only life he’d ever known. But since being rescued by the Southside SPCA, he's ready for a new chapter.
"I’ve known what it’s like to be someone’s best friend," says Pooh. "I’m ready to be that again.”
Pooh is the perfect companion for those who love equal parts snuggles and silliness. While he leans into his inner couch potato most days, he still breaks out in bursts of playful energy that would make Tigger proud. He’s charming, affectionate and always ready to curl up by your side. Just imagine—long walks, cozy naps, and a face that makes you smile every morning.
"I don’t need much," he says. "Just a soft spot to land and someone to land with."
