At 90 pounds, this week's Green Front Dog of the Week is hard to miss — but it’s his sweet personality that really stands out. Meet Darwin, a Great Pyrenees who's ready to be your new best friend. 🐶

At just three years old, he’s the perfect blend of grown-up calm and playful charm. He’s looking for a home (ideally, one with a nice big yard) where he can settle in, stretch out and finally relax.

“People see ‘big dog’ and think I’m a lot to handle,” Darwin says. “But really, I’m just a softie who wants to love you.”

Darwin was rescued from a rural animal control, but now that he's at the Southside SPCA, he's focused on where he's going next. He's got a lot of love stored up and is just waiting to give it to his new family!

Homeownership is required, but if you’ve got the space — and the heart — Darwin’s ready to fill it. Big in size, even bigger in spirit, he’s not just a dog. He’s your next best friend waiting to happen.

In partnership with Green Front Furniture and the Southside SPCA, we're helping pups find forever families—because every dog deserves their perfect match.

This week’s Green Front Dog of the Week may not live in the Hundred Acre Wood, but he's ready to find his forever home right here in Central Virginia. Meet Pooh, a bear of a dog with a personality as sweet as honey. 🍯

At 95 pounds, this six-year-old Pit Bull Terrier is basically an oversized teddy bear. This sweet boy is as devoted as he is cuddly. When his human could no longer care for him, Pooh found himself at a rural animal control...not exactly the adventure he had in mind. But thanks to the Southside SPCA, he's ready to turn the page.

“I know how to be a best friend,” Pooh says. “Do you know anyone who's looking for one?”

Pooh is equal parts cuddle bug and comic relief. He's the perfect pal for snuggling through your favorite show or bouncing around the yard in true Tigger fashion. Picture it: slow morning walks, cozy couch sessions and a face you’ll look forward to seeing every day.

“I’m not looking for much,” he adds. “Just a cozy corner and a human to share it with.”

Homeownership is required to adopt this lovable guy, but the real requirement? A heart big enough to welcome a bear-sized best friend. Head to the Southside SPCA to meet Pooh and see what it feels like to be a pup's Christopher Robin.

In partnership with Green Front Furniture and the Southside SPCA, we're helping pups find forever families—because every dog deserves their perfect match.

Searching for a sweet soul who’s ready to fill your heart with love and laughter? Meet Coco, this week's Green Front Furniture Dog of the Week.

This 8-year-old brindle beauty was rescued by the Southside SPCA from a rural animal shelter. Now she's ready for the good life, where all the cuddles and walks she could ask for are just a paw away.

"I've been waiting for this, and I promise I'm worth the wait!" says Coco.

At 44 pounds, she’s the perfect size for exciting adventures, cozy couch snuggles or anything in between. Full of personality and pep, Coco adores her daily walks and lives for human attention (though she's not a fan of our feline friends). If left alone in a fenced yard, she’ll treat it like an obstacle course, so her ideal adopter should be ready for lots of leashed walks and no free-range yard time!

"Fences are for climbing, walks are for bonding," says Coco. "Let’s hit the road!"

Want to see if you and Coco are the perfect match? Head over to the Southside SPCA and meet your future best friend.

In partnership with Green Front Furniture and the Southside SPCA, we're helping pups find forever families—because every dog deserves their perfect match.

Today on Call Flo, we were thrilled to welcome Longwood Theatre students Rain Bentz, Camden Arkestein, and Angel Lambeso for a preview of their season-opening comedy set during the French Revolution.

They shared how much research went into preparing for their roles, the unique experience of performing on a rotating “lazy Susan” style stage, and the thought behind their period costumes. They also spoke about the powerful bond that forms in an all-female cast and how that connection has shaped the production.

Thank-you to Rain, Camden, and Angel for joining us and giving us a behind-the-scenes look. Be sure to check out our YouTube channel to hear the full conversation!
