If you choose Hybrid Brows (or any permanent makeup), follow these steps to maximize your results:
• Discuss Skin Type with Your Artist: Be upfront about how oily your skin is. They may use a different needle/technique, implant the hair strokes farther apart, or suggest an alternative pigment type.
• Diligently Follow Aftercare: Oily skin clients are often advised to blot their brows gently in the first few days to remove excess oil and help the pigment set correctly.
• Avoid Acids/Exfoliants: Skincare products containing retinoids, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, and Vitamin C serums should be kept away from the tattooed area, as they can accelerate pigment fading—especially on skin that already exfoliates quickly.
• Be Prepared for Frequent Touch-Ups: Oily skin naturally pushes pigment out faster, meaning you will likely need color boosts/touch-ups more often than someone with normal or dry skin (often every 6-12 months instead of the standard 12-18 months).
