The Legend, Chris Beales, retired today after almost forty years! If you ever rented from Red Star Rentals Minneapolis, or Cinequipt back in the day, you would have been greeted by Chris. He always came to work with a smile and was happy to help anyone who walked through the door. Congratulations on your retirement Chris! We will miss you but are so happy and excited for you!

In an HMI light the electricity spirals around the electrodes and arcs in the glass bulb vaporizing the mercury and metal halides inside. This footage was captured in slow-mo to appreciate the science and art inside the tools we use to create strikingly beautiful images on screen.
