๐ฉ๐ฒ๐ต๐ถ๐ฐ๐น๐ฒ๐ ๐๐ฒ๐๐๐ฟ๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐ฎ๐ ๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ถ๐น๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ ๐๐ฟ๐๐ฝ๐ ๐ถ๐ป๐๐ผ ๐๐น๐ฎ๐บ๐ฒ๐ ๐ถ๐ป ๐๐ผ๐น๐๐ผ๐ป | Two railcars in different sections of one train erupted into flames in early Wednesday morning, destroying numerous automobiles that were being transported in one of the cars.
Colton firefighters responded to the tracks near K and Fifth Streets at around 4:30 a.m. to battle the fire, which led to the closure of the tracks for several hours.
While one of the burning railcars was loaded with automobiles, the contents of the second burning car are still unclear; however, it has been reported that it did not contain any hazardous materials.
Giselle Perez, who captured and shared these images with us, was among the local residents who reported waking up to the sounds of loud bangs and explosions, followed by the smell of smoke entering their home.
No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
